So I have played the battle about 5 times now, losing each time. The last time we killed everyone, including in the church and STILL LOST WHEN THERE WERE 30 allies left or so. I’m just wondering if that is part of the story or not…
You have to kill all enemies. That includes Runt. He is at the top of the building where the bandits are. You have to climb up multiple ladders to get to him.
now when i do the battle the church doors are closed D:
Yes, it’s quite buggy. Sometimes they won’t open the doors. other times they won’t move the cart to the Cumans, although getting into the Cuman area is easy. Getting through the door is impossible if the soldiers don’t open it for you.
Couldn’t you Guys use the siege ladders the npc’s put up against the walls or didn’t they do this either.
Worked for me.
It works sometimes, and other times they just run at a wall, and then meld into the middle of the wall. It’s still very buggy. You just have to do it all again if it doesn’t work. The battle also has a time limit, so if you can’t kill everyone by about 20 minutes, you lose.
Please tell me I didn’t read that?!? Time based combat/quest objectives in a game that wants to be realistic?
D: It is true. I hope they will reconsider… I mean 20 min is not very long for any battle. I mean I could see an hour, but no time limit is best IMO
If you win and take 20 reinforcements, the Kolben’s Estate burns down like the alpha, and Miroslav is there.
If you lose with 20 reinforcements, the Kolben’s Estate burns down, and Miroslav isn’t there.
If you win or lose with less than 20 reinforcements, the Kolben’s Estate is unburned, and no Miroslav either way.
Those are the three outcomes I have found.
If you take zero reinforcements, you can get a successful failure.
You get the quest completed message then it starts a cut scene of your men being finished by cumans and bandits.
Robard is pissed and ultimately tells you off and not to return for awhile.
That’s what I called losing the battle. You lose the battle if Robard loses too many men. He calls for a retreat if too many die. Also, if you take longer than 20 mins, then you also lose the battle.
WOW! Glad I read this, my initial battle crashed, so I went hunting for a solution, apparently, playing the battle from a new start with no save/load will do the job, but a 20 minute timers? Nah, especially when you could get killed,I’ll just enjoy the beta, try to do some side missions, and explore a bit, I won’t be bothering with this stupid main quest, DEV take heed, we don’t want this BS in the game, so fix the saves, get rid of the time limit, lighten up the nights, it’s too dark to do ANYTHING , you can’t travel with a torch mounted, and the crime system is a turd.
Apart from that, I am loving the game.
