Optimization Help

I apologize I told you wrong… where the 7000 is is your system memory… so if you have 8GB of RAM it would be 8192

underneath that you’ll see r_TexturesStreamingMaxRequestedMB = 560… That is where your SSD speed goes… It’s not the actual score you want to look at… At the bottom where it says Score there is a read column and a write column… you won’t to add those two together. Ignore the single number at the very bottom underneath them. If you have the EVO 850 I’m going to guess it’s somewhere around 500… Honestly those SSD tests aren’t the most reliable tests ever if i were you I would set it at 600 and see how it works for you.

I see… thats a hole other story. allright… time to test

Cool let me know how it works… don’t forget to add the +exec user.cfg in your launch options on steam

Hang on… I think I may of told you wrong again… Let me check something real quick lol… I’m sorry.

hmm… well I added your info, to the user.cfg but also I added the optimization mod, but I cant get it to keep the settings, it puts everything at minimum. tried that before?

you might be correct, but what about the https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/639 as Gerard mentioned.

I’m looking at the cryengine documentation right now… Things have changed since the last patch, but I can confirm that his 100% works because I used it earlier today.

Also, yes, I have had trouble with the game resetting the graphics settings since it’s been released. Once you get it set to how you like it you will to go in and set your profile.xml file to read only to get it to stop doing that.

Did you unzip his file inside the main kingdomecome directory and overwrite anything it says? If you did it correctly when you start the game you should see some extra graphcis settings in your advanced settings that weren’t there before. You will see these options… I set them exactly as he does in this video earlier and it worked really well… https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=4&v=Uec6chU38LY

here we go, now it remembers settings, lets see how it handles

hmm. steady 90fps outside rattay which ofcourse ends about the 50-60 inside. occasional shadow glitches and the edges on most things… well I guess its a matter of taste?

LOL. wtf. now all of a sudden F1 makes me elevate, F2 and F3 makes me run very fast on autopilot. whaaaa…

Lol what? None of that should of made any of that happen… Take the user.cfg file out of the folder and try running it again… Did you get his mod working?

The mod works. and I’ll to use it a bit to see if I like it. To be fair, I didnt have issues running it before, with most on high and some a bit higher. And generally the game just looks amazing.

No idea where the F commands come from,. just found this though https://steamcommunity.com/app/379430/discussions/0/1698293255126609511/

I can confirm his mod is working… I just started the game without the user.cfg file … I just took this screenshot 1 min. ago… Capture2

Notice how all the settings are reset??? I changed them earlier and they changed themselves back

Wow, I’m going to have togo try that and see if it happens in my game lol

Do you seem to be getting higher FPS with the mod running?

Its working for me too. But the changes it does with optimization come at a price. The way items gets seeable, corners and shades etc. I’m no tweak wizard, I’m not sure exactly what it does, but its noticeable that to get the higher fps and perhaps a more crisp look or whatever, it changes the general picture.

You should try installing the reshade mod he posted earlier… I was playing early with the same settings as in the video with that reshade mod running and it looked really good… I’ll try and take some screenshots real quick

What resolution are you playing at by the way?

well… obviously. earlier (without mod) I wasn’t able to run it on ultra and have good fps, with the mod I have everything maxed and it stays above 60. the avg fps I’d say is about 75-80fps on open road and small villages.
(I use a 144hz monitor)

1920x1080

But you are saying it looks worse?
