Out of region, out of period and for fighting against the Ottoman threat from the East.
It is 5 years early lol but Sigsmund actually used the knights to fight his wars, notably Herman of Celje and Stefan of Serbia and he compestated them with money or he simply called upon the order,
For example a letter from 1411 from Sigsmund to Stefan of Serbia, which I translated and digitalised as part of CEU project of Southeast europe archive digitalisation states that Sigsmund calls upon Stefan to aid him as a brother of the order against bandits raiding south of his lands, which was bordering Stefans lands. The order actually had thw duty of aiding and protecting the members, and Ottomans were just onw of the threats.

Yes lol, it is 5 years before the creation of the Ordrr, however we migth see some Slovene,Croatian,Serbian or Romanian in Sigies army
