"Overlapped I/O operation" when trying to install the beta

Hello,

I discovered this game recently and am super excited about it!
Unfortunately, I cannot install it. Once the launcher finishes downloading the game and tries to install it, it gets stuck at 71% and shows me the following message: “Overlapped I/O operation is in progress” (see screenshot below).

Here are the things I tried to understand/solve this problem:

  • Download the launcher again
  • Run it as administrator
  • Run it in compatibility mode (Windows 7, Windows XP SP 3, …)
  • Use the Windows’ install troubleshooting wizard
    But none of these worked (actually, running in some compatibility modes, I couldn’t even download the game).

Worth noting that this is a brand new configuration (built it yesterday). Could it be that I’m missing something?

You can find my launcher’s logs below, but they are just gibberish when I open them in a text editor. Do I need a specific program to read them?
