In think it’s a good idea and it sounds funny (When I think about what you are suggesting I can’t stop laughing in my head), but don’t you think it will take too many resources on the developer’s part?
Nah. All they need to do is to implement a complete RTS interface into the engine, multiplayer framework, units, buildings, resource aquisition, balance it all out properly, and do most of that stuff for 4 different races + connect it to your character dreaming somehow. My boss would definitely rate that as about 2 hours worth of work.

I see my mistake. Now I truly appreciate the historical depth and accuracy to be depicted in this game of the incredible technological advances of Moorish civilization and its intellectually enlightened space-faring empire. I for one cannot wait for the inevitable space combat DLC with the famed Moorish space-galleys at the battle of the Lepanto Nebula.

I’m absolutely immersed by your idea. The immersion flows through me. I grok the immersion and the immersion groks me.
Say could this planet also have an upgradeable fireplace? I know those kind of games usually have wooden spoons with their fireplaces, but I’d like to upgrade my spoon to a silver one. It would represent my character much better and help my immersion to literally explode in my face. Oh and the planet should have a hook where I can hang my silver spoon!!!
I originally backed this game because I wanted to own a planet somewhere above a medieval bohemia, where I can hang my silver spoon on a hook after a long day of perfect immersion. If the immersion of this game will be somewhat not totally immersive in the way I imagined in the moment of me backing this very game, I will be totally pissed!
