Patch 1.3.4 - Still no random events

Played again for some hours and had a couple of bandits hiding behind bushes, hold up with cumans that were harassing traders but also the “not so brave” knight and, my favourite, the riddle guy.

Good news, they are back.
Bad news, it seems that the frequency is very, very low. I mean, I had to travel for hours, going all over the map (yes, using the certain places they pop up and yes, trying fast and regular travel).
Like that they try to keep it realistic (getting a event every five minutes is not realistic), but with a change you finish the game without getting most of the random encounters.

If I think about all the types I got (brave knight, beggars for food, “beggar” with hidden bandits, pelgrim for shoes, corpse of woman, man and animal accompanied with douche or c*nt, poacher, lost traders, seller of maps/dice, etc). Just to much fun to miss out on these, I believe most players are willing to take away a bit of reality for that.

Or is it just my situation (non modded pc game) that has this low frequency?

I agree. Through about 12 hours since 1.3.4, I’ve had 3 random encounters. So that’s about 1 every 4 in game hours. I don’t mind the infrequencies, but maybe once every 2 hours would be a bit more fun. But it’s WAY better than once every 5 min before the patch! That was ridiculous.

In 50 hours of gameplay on PS4 I’ve had just 3 random encounters. I started my game after the big 1.3 Patch that fixed 300 quest bugs. There is literally no fighting in my game. It is super lame.

Everyone seems to be having vastly different experiences post patch 1.3.4. I wonder if it has anything to do with the scout perk and how many points you put into it.

Slightly increases the sight distance of Fast Travel and also the chances of Evading by 10%.

Working as intended? Dunno, just an educated guess.

I’m getting encounters. I thought perhaps it stopped working again yesterday but then I had like 4 encounters in one FT. Seems maybe if I keep all the camps cleared in an area I don’t get random attacks etc. but in areas I haven’t touched, or where camps have respawned, I do. I was also running into a lot of battles when normal traveling but that stopped once I cleared the Cuman camps in the area.

I almost cleared zero camps, but still very few encounters. But with that logic, the knife should cut on two sides; the bandit encounters should decrease, though the wayfarer encounters should increase (since it’s more safe for them).

No, I don’t think it works like that.

I have not taken the scout perks specifically because I wanted max number of encounters.

I’m starting to wonder if killing accidentally or intentionally a wayfarer knight/mercenary has an impact on their no-show.

It did not had a impact before and the patch notes say that the events are fixed, not changed. So think not.
Than again, if only it would be a fix, we should get events before patches (being more frequently)…
