Patch 1.3.4

Sorry if this question has been answered already. I couldn’t find it though in the threads. But with patch 1.3.4, and the problem of NPC items “burying” themselves under the game world ( causing the game screen to freak out), what happens to the buried items after patch 1.4?

Do these items get deleted? I’m afraid that starting KCD over now is potentially pointless. I’d hate to get too far into it having to start over AGAIN.

So maybe somebody familiar with tech, and how patches work could answer this question.

Thanks so much!

NPC’s items bury them selves ? Not happened to me yet

Twitter post from Daniel on why some users get severe screen shakes on PC with the 1.3.4 patch.

“Sorry guys. This is gonna be fixed in 1.4. The bugs is physics. Seems, that for some reason for some people, items that NPCs used fell through ground and when the amount of such items reaches critical level, the physics system starts to malfunction. Its fixed in 1.4 which SHOULD be released next week. No exact date yet.”

So I was wondering if a 1.3.4 save would corrupt a future 1.4 save with all the items “buried” causing the overload and “screen shakes”.

I realize it’s hard to predict a future patch…but I am hoping someone tech savvy will have an answer.

Evej a ‘tech savvy’ person can only speculate.

There might be a handful of people at Warhorse studios that could give a half accurate answer- they could reason based off knowing the ways the patch implements itself.

Given that there is several ways to make the fix, each with various benefits/disadavantages for existing save games with previous patches vs just making a ‘new version’ of the game.

Like the first Witcher game; I expect this game will get a ‘master file’ rerelease that will be the only way to fix some wystems having streaming issues etc. (The Witcher (first released) desperatly needed this as well and playing any version prior to the rereleased master file was problematic for many, and performance became WAY BETTER for everyone after it happened.
(And that game wasnt anywhere near the system push that this game is)

well first of all KCD is definitely a worth playing game, but with these bugs (especially on patch 1.3.4) all i can say is just “impossible” to make a new playthrough

i just wondering if our “henry” suffering PTSD because of that skalitz raid that make “camera shaking”

and hopefully devs team ready to launch the next patch ASAP and fixed all of those bugs

as a part of the upcoming fix WH will create a bunch of NPC’s with daily duties to run around the map picking up all buried items and storing them in a safe place. You will be able to see these people as you play and even the number of camps by roads will rise as a result (more food kettles for us,YEY!!!). However, there are rumours from QA department that, depending on PC configuration, some saves might get corrupted nevertheless. if NPC’s spend too much time in the camps instead of scavenging for artefacts, the items buried in the ground might still reach the critical level and the save will be unplayable!
