Patch 1.3, the patch from hell

Very upsetting the new sound of mixing dices when playing dice “Zonk” in version 1.3 , as if not a few dices are mixed, but one! In version 1.2 the sound of mixing dices was beautiful, so i hope in 1.4 it will be fixed.

Must say I agree with you with all you say.

Yes, this. People have been reporting bugs that are flat out game mechanics, or not knowing what to do on certain quests. Like “The door won’t open. BUG!” Okay, it’s not THAT door, it’s the other door. You’re not supposed to open the door you’ve been trying to open for 2 hours.

Well, actually, that door was hardet to find than I ecpected. I tried to cirumvent this bug for hours, loading older saves, walking around at wranik, walking around the house (while sadly still missing the actual door).

For someone who knows the Quest this might seem easy to notice (i certainly didnt stand at the door for 2 hours pressing A), but for me it was definitely hard to find.

Anyways, it wasnt the bug is thought it was, but having a non-related door showing up and beeing unresponsive is still a bug (so there is not “no bug”)

I also get a blackscreen right at the beginning of Wranik, wich reassured me in my believing something is Buggy. Certainly that ones not intended as well.

Anyways, im happy i found the right door now and i thank you for helping out.

I disagree. There is no difference coming out and saying anything or keeping it on the down low till it is fixed or in the process.

Frankly I have seen Devs answer questions and for every two that think rationally and patiently. There are 20 shouting give us this or that now , change this , I want a refund your game sucks bla bla bla.

They announce patches , they announce changes to systems. Basic communication. This is all that is needed.

This forum is not well equipped for anything more.

So you want them to stop fixing patches and working on new content to email everyone who they can’t currently help to let them know they can’t help…or to dedicate a specific thread for periodic updates on issues they havn’t fixed…that’s stupid. One more thread to get out of control and locked out in record time.

With patchnotes and current fixes, mixed with good old process of elimination, you should know what issues have not been addressed…

While there is some problems, This patch did wonders for me. This game is one of the Great RPG in a Long Time. #Qanon

LOL at the chicken!

Yes, had a laugh myself. Wasn’t easy either to hit the chicken, but it just kept walking there after several missed shots, taunting us.
Those moments make gaming fun.

I got 9 days for punching a monk. Didn’t want to wait any more during Needle in a Haystack so I found and killed Pious and punched someone thinking they’d kick me out cuz they have their own law or whatever…nope, bunch of guards came rushing in and since I turned in all my stuff and had no gold I got slapped with 9 days. Thank god they adjusted the wait time

Since turning off my graphics card frame rate target control (amd); have had no ‘stutter’.
Might not be the solution for everybody…

Weird. I did almost the same (killed Pious out of the blue in courtyard and hit a monk with sword that happens to be to close) and got away with paying a fine (I fled first).

Are you kidding?

I have a 2-month old Playstation 4 Pro and the bugs make the game almost (but not quite) unplayable.

People walking around without heads, textures not loading, various quests being so buggy you can’t finish them, warping inside locked doors when “waiting” outside them, master strikes gone with axes & maces, etc. etc.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great game, and I support the developers, and I want them to fix it and impove it and expand it. But pretending there are no (or even only little) bugs won’t help any of that.

It’s an excellent, enjoyable game and it’s buggy as hell.

I never said there were no bugs. I am saying that there are people, proven on this forum, they post a quest as bugged but get tips from other players and say oh its not a bug i just didnt see the door…

Its a shame some of you are experiencing this stuff.
But there has to be some reason.
Hate like.this (not yours but on the forum in general) can kill a small studio like this.

Have you tried a complete new install where you do the download in one consistent stretch and also i think the mass amount of saves that are kept under 1 playline is a reason for some bugs.

I just think there must be a logic solution.
My ps4 is 5 years old dusty al hell and got carried all over the world.

The worst bug i got was fritz and matthew dissapearing before the heist.
Reloaded and deleted some saves.
No problems.

Also i am.not pretending there are no bugs i am only explaining my experience.
And it seems.weird that you with newer and better ps4 is havin problems and i am not.

from some of the feedback here, it seems vanilla PS4 runs better than pro

That would make.it even more bizarre :joy::joy:

we know KCD is configured differently for pro vs vanilla (different number of pixels, etc). we vanilla owners get reduced graphics. given the pro vs vanilla response post 1.2.5 release, it seems pro graphics problem was much worse

Yeah it’s pretty bad for me. The draw distance is bad all around, and in towns like ratay, it’s so horrific that I can be trotting through town on my horse and suddenly it stops and won’t go anywhere … then a second later a cart suddenly appears right in front of me! Also, if I go through ratay at a full gallop the frame-rate drops to something ridiculous … I’m guessing somewhere south of 10FPS. It doesn’t really matter, because I don’t need awesome frame-rate galloping in ratay, and if I slow down the FPS improves.

I’m not much of a PS4 player (or gamer in general … work just gave it to me for my birthday, so I went and bought a few games). I haven’t played much Horizen Zero Dawn, but the graphics are waaaay better, way smoother, and the draw distance is way better too. So obviously the system can handle it. I guess the code in Kingdom Come is just pretty inefficient and could do with some serious performance refactoring.

I hear you buddy. It’s annoying to hear people complain about “bugs” that aren’t bugs. Or saying things like, “I won’t buy this game until they add a 3rd person view” (WTF?), as if the game being difficult, or not looking like Witcher 3 is a “bug”.

But that aside, there are very serious bugs in this game. So many that it’s more like a Alpha pre-release than anything else.

It’s still fun, awesome idea, and I like it and support the dev team. I want them to fix the problems and continue adding cool features and DLC for years to come.
