Since I am a backer and now have preloaded on steam, how come there are people on twitch playing the game on PS4 who preordered the game yesterday? Im in North America and am wondering why people have gotten the game before others.

Apparently the distributor messed up. Where Kickstarter backers are handled by Warhorse directly and WH sticks to the official release time in 7 hours, the distributor for consoles released it early.

Dang, that sucks.

It does and WH has little chance to do much right now as they do not seem to be enough of slave drivers to force people to work at 2 am.

But I guess it is not that bad, especially since this is a single player game. We can play it at our own pace. But then again I usually buy games 1-2 years after release.

its the 13th in other countries but warhorse set a global time but the timer on the site was set to local time so its a bit of a screwup

Yes, and combined with the publisher mess of releasing early it really does not help with all the confusion. :grinning:

It’s perfectly understandable that they won’t do anything about it now at 2am, but they really should have noticed when they started the timer that it was way off the intended release time, and avoided pissing us all off. Very sour start for this game.

I know for sure that they knew about the countdown timer since yesterday early morning. I was reporting it in hopes that it gets fixed so that confusions are avoided.

That’s disappointing to hear. Really poor form on their part. Hopefully their game development is leagues ahead of their customer service and logistics.

Ah come on. They may have their problems, but even the customer support is not that bad. Just not 24/7. During European working hours they have plenty of people active on the forums to help. But I understand that for people from America and Australia it may be a bad match time wise.

I think misleading us about the release time is poor customer service. I don’t have any experience directly dealing with the CS staff.

How were you mislead about the release?

They had a timer on the website ticking down to release, but it was wrong.

Well no, because the timer ends on February 13th. It forgot to factor in different time zones though, so for me it says i have 17 hours still.

The steam timer is the accurate one, and that leaves us with only 5 hours left.

The timer ended a couple of hours ago for me. Hence, I have been misled.

Better call the police then, because there’s totally no other way to find out the games release…

You’re a smarmy fellow aren’t you?

Well, to be honest when you have a huge countdown timer on official homepage, you sort of tend to trust it. But yes, it is nothing tragic. Although the steam time was reportedly buggy too today. I wish the release was smoother. Let’s hope that youtube is not swarmed by angry reviews tomorrow.

I’m going to kill a random villager within 24 hours due to the web creator’s crime of messing up the counter! Good thing the web guy wasn’t coding the game… can you imagine the horror! I will post my kill by tomorrow this time.

Take your revenge on the devs! Find out at least 10 bugs within the first hour of playing and report them all in thorough detail, to ensure that some poor dev will have to do overtimes!
