PC graphics, modability andconsole commands

I really hope that you let us go crazy with graphics on the PC Warhorse, unlike so many other games out there that are held back because of the consoles.
Since the game is built on CryEngine 3 will you let us mod the hell out of the game like the original Crysis 1 did and push the limits using the console command?
Crysis 3 did not allow us to do that, hopefully you will!

They said that limiting factor for the graphic is more money/manhours Warhorse has avalible rather than next gen consoles hardware. On good gaming PC it will look more or less the same except you can have higher resolution, fps, viewing distance etc.

They plan to release modding tools after Act I. release. We dont know much details yet but if they release those tools they are using themselves it could be big since they use kinda “lego” approach for everithing like painting the world with roads fences prefabricated buildings etc, same applies for character creation (except 3d scenned heads) and AI behaviors… I am just hoping for something easy even I could try to create with it… But if you mean like touching the code that is something I know nothing about at all. Is not Cry Engine with source code very cheap these days?

Being developed on CryEngine, I think that most likely we will have access to the console with many possibilities for fine-tuning some graphics and other parameters. CryEngine is a highly flexible platform as well as the sdk.

Besides I saw Vavra bitching on sotial media about skyrim again how he had a hard time modding it. And unlike some others, I like Vavra bitching because it usually means that he is ready to take a challenge and make something better  … well, programers will have to make it better at the end but I still take it as a good sign

Personally I never liked the skyrim sdk, I fully understand Vavra. Way over, I know quite well CryEngine SDK and it is another world, very intuitive and easy to use, even in combination with softwares like 3dsmax or maya on import/export or play with some AI/game behaviours.
