People Forget How Buggy Skyrim Was and Still Is. Thank You War Horse!

I see a lot of people reporting bugs and Game Breaking glitches. I understand people being angry, I was one of them. I had the “Cannot Sit or Sleep” bug and had to reload 2 hour old save. Im lucky, Some had even older or no saves to reload. I have some more bugs like, Stealth Kill on sleeping bandit wake up the other sleeping bandits. Rain not rendering on PS4 Pro, Load times on talking to NPC’s and terrible Pop In’s and Rendering of towns and Forts.

With that said, I going to try and stay patient with the dev team, It must be a nightmare to try and resolves issues on a large game like this on 3 different machines with such a small development team and this being their first crack a game of this magnitude. So Thank you WAR HORSE for your Work and Continued Support. This game in my opinion is a masterpiece and a better title than Skyrim. I’m just hoping the KCD receives continued support for bug/glitch fixes in the future and some optimization patches for all machines. Keep Up the Hard Work! The Game is incredible.

Thank you indeed, but forums are made for complaints, especially the bugs section.

Yes, i can also deal with the bugs, sometimes they can be funny too. But Skyrim was nowhere near as buggy as this game is to me, in my experience. The game ran fluidly actually (outside of the remaster). But im hopefull that Warhorse will release patches in a timely fashion to address more of the severe bugs.

Thank you indeed for reminding us that this is a forum. He’s not saying “Skyrim was buggy, so you can’t complain here!”

He’s saying to be patient.

Well in the meantime, I have the right to complain that I can’t load my saves and play the game  and you will have to accept it.

You are indeed a sad strange little boy.

I never said you can’t complain. Do you not know how to read?

Well the last patch made it worse for me with more bugs so am patiently waiting for more bugs.

Then refund the game if you are patiently waiting for more bugs.

No, I would like to patiently bitch about it here. Why are you so obsessed with what do I do with the game? If the game is running fine for you then keep on playing your game. No need for the fanboy attitude.

Or think at Gothic 3, boar of death.
Everybody expect the things work fine, but when the things goes wrong they notify this.
Nobody talks about the awesome aspects, thats the reality, the time we live. Also outside KCD.

No need for the fanboy attitude.

How have I defended the company in anyway? I’ve stated multiple times to you specifically,

  1. Report the bugs
  2. Wait for patches
  3. Refund the game

nowhere in my posts do I say “I HAVE NO BUGS, SO YOU CAN’T COMPLAIN” “THE DEVS WORKED HARD TO FINISH IT SO SHUTUP”

1- Done it already,
2- Not refunding the game.
3- Bitching in the meanwhile.

I got my money’s worth and I’m not finished with the game yet. As far as I am concerned I got my money’s worth 5 hours in to the game. To each his own though. I hope WH weathers the whiner storm and can keep making games like this.

It’s a matter of time before you come here whining with us

Rofl. Skyrim is more stable with 200+ mods than KCD as it stands. Besides, do you think it a compliment comparing a brand new RPG to a 7 year old game? Skyrim, for its time, was a breakthrough in open world sandbox experience. The only ‘breakthrough’ KCD introduces is that queer combat system.

People give excuses of it being a small studio and what not (CDPR was pretty much the same size during TW3 development by the way), but thats what makes it even more important to get the first impression right. Indie games are generally crafted with lot of care and patience because those devs know they’re not going to have that many chances to attract a strong following. They don’t have the money to try again and again if their first project fails.

Anyway, I think WH is pretty lucky to have a great following already, despite them delivering a sub-standard product. It is clear lot of people really wanted this style of game. But it also seems that missed a good chance to make a statement to be considered as one of the top studious out there, which would have really put the heat on crap ass thugs like EA, Activision and Ubisoft.

lol, Skyrim was not a breakthrough in any sense of the word. Nothing new or innovative about it, and it even stripped several features that were in previous titles.

A 7 year old game that was made by the premier RPG company? A company that had an enormous budget, and several titles already under their belt?

And that does not change the fact that Skyrim is still buggy as hell, despite multiple chances for Bethesda to fix things. In fact all Bethesda titles are notoriously buggy, but people like you still eat em up, and ignore them. In fact most Bethesda fans seem to find the bugs funny, but i see them raging over the KC:D bugs.

For the majority of its development, Warhorse was well under 100 people working on the game. The Witcher 3 had 240 people working on it, and a much larger budget than KC:D.

CDPR had similar issues with Witcher 1 when it was released - new studio, first big game a lot of bugs, badly optimized and even not so good on graphics quality, and they were releasing for PC only. They fixed that after couple of months and GOTY edition was actually the final game. Look where they are now.

Bugs are not good, but i can understand it and accept it if it comes from a new and small studio. Not if it comes from the likes of Bethesda who have issues mainly out of laziness.

Oh you can consider Morrowind or Oblivion to be the breakthroughs then if you want to. They are even older mind.

Bethesda being a ‘premier’ company means that what it churned out 7 years ago is comparable today? Okay. If thats how little you expected from War Horse I guess there can be no further argument.

Mate, I don’t eat up Bethesda titles, no matter how much you’d want to fantasize that I do. Of course they’re buggy but even after putting ~400+ hours into Skyrim, I haven’t run into a bad enough issue like I did in just ~20 hours of KCD. Mainly cause Skyrim autosaves often and you can quicksave pressing F5 so its goddamn easy to go back if anything hitches up. So easy that it hardly even bothers you.

I think the problems are amplifed for KCD because of two things: 1. They decided to set up a weird save system. 2. That save system itself does not work as its supposed to 100% of the times. People don’t mind replaying 10-15 minutes due to a bug. But couple of hours? Tens of hours? That understandably goes into rage quitting territory.

Hopefully the save system will be fixed in the new update. And by fixed I mean the bugs, not the core system itself, many people find it quite enjoyable. You can literally buy cheap ingredients and make tons of savior schnapps. But since people aren’t willing to do even that, a save and exit thing will probably be used
