Performance issues in alpha?

Any one else getting performance problems? (like really really bad performance?) I have a really good PC but can barely run it on low…without getting 30FPS…

What does “really good PC” mean?

I have really good and everything is on High, 45-50 fps, Sapphire Rad HD7970 vapor-x ghz edition, i5, 8gb ram, no performance issues, I even upped the view distance and vegetation and grass because It was so smooth, and still no fps drop. In houses I had 50-60 fps.

here are my specs:
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 CPU 870@ 2.93Ghz
Display Adapter: AMD Radeon R9 280
Ram: 8,00 GB
Operating system: WIN 8 64 bit. (don’t think my Operating system matters though does it?)

I really don’t understand why i’ts lagging so much…

Does CPU turboboost while playing? No? Turn it on.
Check CPU/GPU temperature.
Do you run any another app while playing?

I have: i5, GTX 770, 16gb RAM

I’ll check all this stuff out and see if the performance gets better.

**** FIXED ****
Putting the solution that worked for me at the top here.

Suspecting file corruption, I went into Steam, right-clicked on Kingdom Come, went to properties, then Local Files, then Verify Integrity of Game Cache. This does take a little while to complete. For me it found 2 files that it couldn’t verify so they were redownloaded. That completely fixed my game performance problems.

I’m also having horrible, unplayable performance issues after the latest update. The game ran fine prior to the update. I’m wondering if something’s corrupt to be honest, though I’d hate to have to download the whole thing again just to test that

Detail of the problems I’m seeing:

-The game takes a VERY long time to load, as in several minutes before I can get to the first menu
-Before I could play with settings on high and it ran decently, now it isn’t playable even at the lowest settings.
-Now, even on the lowest settings, if I turn in a circle the game will freeze for several seconds up to a minute or so.
-Even looking straight down at the ground (easiest on performance) I can hear the audio constantly hiccuping like it’s struggling beyond what my computer can handle.

cpu: intel core i-5 2500k
gpu: AMD Radeon 6950 2GB

I upgraded my graphics driver to the latest from AMD (Catalyst “Omega” as they are calling this one) and it didn’t make any noticeable difference.

trying this right now!

same…i’m going to try to see if I need a drivers upgrade next.

Nope…no drivers update to download. I am still lagging and I don’t know why…this is a nightmare.
