Performance nowdays?

Hey there, I wanted to try the game again, but I’ve really terrible experience from before, is the game playable now? I mean it used to CTD every now and then, fps problems and all. How’s the game compared to that time? (last patch i played was 1.2 or something)

on xbox x is ok now…

How is the performance on PC ? I have a i56600k and gtx 1070 16gb ram and Full HD monitor.
I think i will drop the 30€ on a steamkey because i cant stand the ugly graphics on xbox one x (i usually like xbox but this is a bad port) what kind of fps can i expect ?

I’m running an i7-6700 @ 3.4GHz, a GTX 960 and a GTX 730 (PhysX dedicated), and 16GB RAM on a 1080p setup.
I have the graphics settings between Very High to High on all settings, HD textures on, and LOD distances about 75-85% of max. Oh, and running a reshade that pulls my fps down 4 fps.

FPS in woods its a stable 34. In town I usually pull about 24. In the large battle off Nest of Vipers, I averaged around 16 fps (that was a little rough). If I was willing to downgrade my visuals or draw distance a bit, I would comfortably be running 26-42 fps at all times.

To give my system a little extra processing room, I’ve capped my fps at 30 since fine-tuning my graphics settings.

Stable 34 fps with i7-6700 ? Damn… So i don’t even have to try thanks

Average of fifty… (all sliders maxed) mostly ranging between 40-60
(All sliders maxed) shadows and antialiasing to suit.
Based on graphics card.
Dont think your cpu will choke it.

…Once improvements/optimisation patch rolls round (eg a few spots presently bomb everycard/cpu)

When that happen the xbox x could be just as good.
Except it targets a higher res rather than a higher framerate.

If ‘xbox x’ had the 1070 -1400p would be doable.
Feeding 1080 the present gpu should prove 40-45ish…

Though Im not accounting the xboxs graphics settings…
The x could push higher qual but M $ want higher res.

All obviously speculation- but I’d put money on a bet.

So i could lock it to 30 fps with some higher textures and maybe medium shadows and play on my TV ? Because i am a bit worried that my CPU is to weak.

The ultra settings are not meant to run smooth. They are experimental and for future hardware!

On your setup (1070)- nine settings at ultra; shadows to high and antialiasing to tune fps to taste…

Definately locked thirty…

But- both gpu companies have some crazy ‘enhanced sync’ where your fps could run a lot higher without tearing and less latency (actual lag).

Hot 60 fps and acerage of 50 would be expectation.
Unless you spend all your gametime in high cpu area where a 40 framerate wpuld eventually become the average.

I seriously dont consider the few places that drop to 20 framerates as consideration as they will be fixed in due time. They are too specific not to be… and grind every card to dust…

The crash to desktop feature that was introduced with one of the patches has been removed…

Lol, not gonna instal it then. This game doens’t look this good to be so demanding.

crap for me with my low-middle tier system.
8-20 in towns, 35 in open country, 25 in forest and 10-15 in battles.
If you don’t have a 8 core or more 12 threading muscle CPU don’t expect really high FPS at high and ultra.
