Now to explain why I recommend taking furious, chain attack and heavy swing. These perks all directly correlate into each other.

Let us start with Heavy Swing : Your attacks cause 20% greater damage, but cost you 10% more Stamina. Applies only to weapons that require Strength in order to wield. This applies only to any weapon that has a strength check. If you plan on only using agility based weapons avoid this perk.

Moving onto Furious : The less your maximum Stamina, the greater injury you cause. This ties into how heavy swing increases you stamin cost therefore increasing the damage of each swing until it maxes out when out of stamina (oos). Which now rewards you for hitting opponents while you have that opening but are oos until they recover, if at all.

Lastly we look at Chain Strike : Each blow in an uninterrupted chain will hurt your opponent more than the previous one. Any interruption will cancel the bonus. This also adds to what we just discussed about how each strike draining your stamina increases the damage done, however Chain Strike will also stack with thay bonus while continuing to increase your damage aslong asyou keep striking with no interruptions.

So how does this look? You attack and stagger your opponent at some point and can now really lay into him, each hit does more damage as you run out of stamina and then the chain strike modifier stacks for each continuous swing. So instead of you maxing out your damage at a value of X when you are oos. Instead that value will still continue to grow with every swing until you either kill the opponent, are interrupted (damn archers!) or switch targets.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this, please give a like if it has helped or you just enjoyed the read.

Please comment below and offer feedback thoughts and so on, as long as you remain with in the KDC forum terms and conditions.

Have a great time doing what ever it is you’re doing!

Main level:

  • Contemplative - Let’s you play without sleeping.
  • Savage - I consider this perk as the better one. The only gain you get with Burgher in towns is +1 in speech. With this one you use the +1 strenght +1 agility +1vitality a lot more. (+3 vs +1 imho)

Agility:

  • Fast Striker - let’s you hit the enemy one more time before the enemy blocks you (after clinch or riposte, 2x0,8=1,6x more dmg than without the perk).
  • Light Armor - Let’s you dodge every attack. With max agility, you can even hold the key and henry will dodge the attack automat.
  • Taunt - reduces how often the enemies strike. In a 1v3+ you dodge once and enemies are not gonna attack you from behind that much etc.

Vitality

  • Thick blooded - waste of a perk point. Probably worst perk in this tree. Save 4 PPs and get the last 4 asap.
  • Human dustbin - perk is so OP it ruins the game

Speech

  • Every perk efecting the price of items is a waste of a PP.
  • Lowborn - let’s you talk out of nearly everything right in the prologue.
  • Empathetic - easier persuasions.
  • Troubadour - Makes quests with women a lot easier (Hanekin hair, Vikar, Playing with the devil etc.)

Herbalism

  • Flower Power +2 charisma in prologue
  • Resistance +2 vitality in prologue
  • Leg day - do not bother with this one. 1 flower ~ 1 str exp (500+ exp per lvl). Get to fistfighting ring in rattay, a lot faster than this.

Hunting

  • Forester - Let’s you stealth kill every kuman in the woods just with a dagger.
  • Steak tartare - food is not an issue with dustbin, waste of a PP.

Lockpicking

  • Luck of the Drunk - let’s you open every chest at lvl 6

Maintenance

  • Stuffing - silent full plate armor

Reading

  • Cartographer - reveals the whole map
  • Avid Reader - Henry studies in his dreams
