After evading surrender from being searched by a guard, the option to ‘surrender L1 X’ is permanently on screen! This also now stops me from being able to sleep when sitting down on a bed!!!

This happened to me too. I had to reload many old game saves until I found one with out this glictch. I lost a good 2 to 3 hours of gameplay because of it.
Same on xbox one for me. Even going to jail does not take it away or sleeping/save game/ load game/ restart console. FIX ASAP!

Same exact issue happening to me. I’ve been playing for like 6 hours past me having this issue because I didn’t really feel like it was too much of a problem. Then I realized it wouldn’t let me sleep…
I put it a support ticket hopefully this gets resolved.

I can’t even surrender to guards anymore it just makes me pickpocket them, this is getting ridiculous, game breaking bugs at launch shouldn’t be there. I also get the pickpocketing ticking sound stuck so I’m walking around with a constant ticking noise.
Launch is literally the only time game breaking bugs should be in a game so calm down they will fix the issue it’s a huge game do you know how hard it is to get every little glitch just look at skyrim for ps3 when it first came out everyone said it was horrid and it was fixed within like a month
SAME, cant be asked to load back 5-6 hours of gameplay…

It also is affecting quests where you have to interact with something, all there is available with the X button is the permanent surrender option!!!
Quest: Playing with the devil - cannot be completed because of it at the moment.

No, bugs that make the game unplayable aren’t suppose to be there. Regular bugs that cause incovienance is normal.
Same thing happened to me. Try committing a crime in public then paying/serving the time for it. I stole a pretzel then paid 60 groschen to be rid of the permanent surrender option. The loss of groschen & reputation [both will be earned back 
] is negligible compared to Henry not being able to sleep in his own bed. Now I can sleep again and it feels great!!! Did this on xbox one, hope it works for y’all.
I tried that…got reported for being on a private place in Rattay…the guard took more than 200 groshen because I had “inconvenienced” the ladies at the boathouse… But the permanent surrender sign did not dissapear 
Dang! I did the crime right after the bug had appeared (luckily I had saved just before). But that’s a doggone shame. Sorry to hear man but hopefully, like the slow but steady warhorse that is Warhorse Studios, they will trudge through these dirty, good-for-nothing bugs to deliver us a righteous bug-slaying patch and give us a permanent solution to our woes.
I might try again. Maybe stealing instead of entering a private place might do… For the time being there’s plenty of “floor” beds to sleep for me 
They’ve patched it on PS4 now, so the surrender problem has gone away for me.

Any word on the patch fix for this on Xbox. I’m looking at losing 8 hours of a 13 hour campaign. Yikes!!
Same to me. Got it yesterday noon after the Hunting Quest in the woods. Since I read it has been patched on PS4 i‘m still unsure to make a 6hours savegame rollback or just wait for this mysterious, never seen Xbox patch ^^
P.S. nothing, Like doing crimes in city helped and sleeping in beggars beds wo t save.
