Philanthropy

So I’m on a mission to get Roe Deer Meat. I’ve got 60 Roe Meat and 800 Red Deer Meat (I don’t like NOT hunting). I know I can sell the stuff, but there’s only so much money to go around.

With that in mind, is there a way to DONATE the food to a town or something like that. One of the gameplay features on my list of improvements (coming soon!) is the lack of ability to straight up give stuff to the Skalitz refugees. I don’t want there to be the ability to SOLVE the problem outside of quests, but being able to give them money/food and have them stop begging for the day and possibly even thank you in the future for your awesomeness would be a great gameplay addition. With that in mind, having someone who organizes donations would be really immersive. I’d like to get that “oh aren’t I awesome?!” feeling of giving 400 pounds of venison to a town and being able to provide for a community feast"

You can drop it infront of NPCs. e.g. Wanderers will take the stuff you have dropped

An option of giving alms would be useful. Feel a bit embarassed when I have 30k groschen in my pouch and can’t share some with my Skalitz folks. Donations to church would be also great.

Drop it in front of NPC’s?

Not to ask the obvious, but do you mean like this? (Not sure if this will take my screenshot code, but if it doesn’t work, I’m sure you can click on http://imgbox.com/Ulfr4J1P

I dropped 5 Groshen in front of him, went into the shop, came out w/ lots of Beer, and the cash is still on the ground. Did I do something wrong or does it take time or… well whatever?

From personal experience you have to wait for them to walk around. If they’re in some sort of animation or standing in a scripted spot then they won’t break it to pick up an item. Sometimes they’ll totally just blank the item regardless.

Good idea for improvement!

You can sell it for waaaaaaay less then it worth but only with traders obviously. And that’s stupid, I wanna give money to my Skalitz bois, Henry didn’t forget where he came from

YAY!!!

Yeah I’m putting together a list of Gameplay Improvements that I feel mess well with the intended feel of the game.

they will not pick it up until they have finished their tasks, ie for beggars that’s when they are sitting there begging.
