Placing items in Storage box now makes me STEAL them back?

Put my stuff in storage last night prior to patch and slept before signing out. Today, signed in, got up from sleeping and got my stuff from my storage box. This time it wants me to steal it. When I do steal it, it shows as stolen. If I put it back in the storage Box it immediately shows as NOT-stolen again. (until I have to steal it again)

Anyone else having this issue? I’m at the Rattay Miller.

I think it only shows in your own inventory if its stolen or not
At least thats how I recall it… maybe I’m wrong
but I think this should be fixed

If you leave it long enough in the chest the sign will disappear since the people will forget about the items and they wont count as stolen anymore

No, this is different. This is MY storage box and it’s making me STEAL it out of MY box.

ok yes I see
no I havent had this issue… you should send a bugreport to support@kingdomcomerpg.com
maybe it can be reproduced and one can find the cause

Done. Thanks.

It happened to me too.

Only happen with stolen items that were stored, the storage work as a cloud so is easy to store a huge amount of stolen items from a city and then go to other city with fast travel where you bought an inn bed and open it full with stolen valuables wich you can now sell to normal merchants because they were stolen elsewhere. Now to counter that kind of missuse of the chest everytime you retire an stolen item from the chest it will regain the stolen debuff.

Very interesting, thank you. Let me test that.

Same probleme here…

Were the items marked as stolen when you put them in? If so you have to wait for a couple of days/hours depending on the value of the item. As long as they’re still marked as stolen you’ll steal them back. The “good” thing about this “bug” is that you can easily get the achievement for stealing stuff worth 30k.

This makes me think, are there other containers that you can store items in? I know you have your personal box, but I was thinking there might be others like in Skyrim for example that does not reset?

I don’t think any chest in the map resets… though I’m not sure, the owner of said chest might use the items in it I think (aka getting clothes out of it etc in case you store your stuff in someone else’s chest).

That is interesting, I have to try it out to see what happends.

I don’t think it’s -that- advanced to let NPCs wear random shit they find in their trunk but I doubt it resets, I’ve checked chests twice and never found anything more or less than when I’ve looted them.

I figure there might be some very interesting peasants in full armour if that is the case!

But actually, I was more thinking of other possibilities.

I’ve leaved stuff in random npc chest only to find them there waaaay advanced, even some apples that I leave them so I can pick em up later, just I forgot them. And now they still there forgoten and rotten.

Think Miller Peshek shares ‘your’ chest with you.
