Player jobs, professions, and work

I understand why its important to you, personally it wouldn’t matter to me, and i would happily support a playable female character, i would support an alternate female based storyline even more if it ment more great gameplay. And i also agree that it isnt to much to ask for either of those things (although and alternate story would take a little more time) I would like to say, however, that this game will not be an MMORPG, or just your regular RPG such as skyrim, were you can create you character how you please. It seems one of the main reasons there will not be a playable female character for the main storyline, is that the entire story is based of of one man and his quest for revenge, and that without the main character being specifically him, it wouldn’t work out at all.

Then you misread; it’s not. (As did all the other folk eager to take on those who think differently.)

I specifically said it didn’t matter to me, but that I could understand how and why it did to those who find it important.

It’s called “empathy”.

Well if you really didn’t care if as you are saying then why are are you arguing with people and complaining you cant play as a girl for the main story??

Strange how you seem to be the only one bringing it up though…

Not “my” perspective. I’m just wearing the devil’s advocate hat.

I do find it amusing how much trouble of you have separating between [the touchy subjective that shall not be named] and ALL WOMEN IN GAMING.

Seriously… shame on ya’ll.

thanks, noted, ignored  I am not ashamed of my opinions.

Sauce for the goose, friend… if YOU don’t care, why do you need to take every opportunity you find (and make up ones when they don’t exist) to argue that any opinion but yours doesn’t matter?

I’ve told you what I’m doing… you (and others) continue to have difficulty distinguishing between it and what you prefer to think.

Succinctly? Not my problem.

Must have misread, sorry about that.

We can say that a seperatly campaign with a female character
would be very amazing and awesome.
But it needs the same attention like the male character.
it is a fact that 50% of all players around the world playing an female char.
Every MMO has males who playing female characters. Like me but i don’t playing MMO’s
but i play with female character in Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout, Vampire Bloodlines,
GTA IV mp, State of Decay.
and it is terrible for me
to have no idea when i can Alyx Vance see again.
(Hate Gabe for his Time periods)
And Womens want womens… So even in Games that are not like skyrim or MMO
but that are a vision of the developers and the investigated money

I actually do care with a game like this that is going for historical accuracy. Women didn’t fight back then sweetheart so it would make no sense to swap the main male character for a female which you stated you would be fine with up above. When did i say your opinion didn’t matter? You seem to think that if you have an opinion that everyone should cater to you. The majority of the people in this thread dont agree with you and have opinions of their own but you keep arguing. Again if you want a game like this with a female character for the main character go start a kick starter for it. Stop expecting people to change the game just for you.

I think the issue some of us took is that you perpetuated an argument unrelated to the subject of the thread. Regardless of intent, this is about ideas for jobs that the main player can engage in during the game, not to discuss gender roles in games or the possibility of playable females within the game. Your original post had some good ideas like a more “economic, craft and exploration based game.” I agree, that would be cool but everything pertaining to being a woman isn’t really relevant to this particular discussion.

So tell me, does that projection come in HD?

If it does, you should consider returning it as defective; it’s not doing a very good job of translating input.

You may wish to revisit the post order; I didn’t start the divergence, I responded to the one who did.

Not quite sure what you are trying to say… Are you trying to argue that women did fight back then?

Yes, obviously; that’s rather my point.

Oh, and you may want to revisit previous posts as, clearly, there were women who “fought back then”… and the information was posted in direct response to the (incorrect) assertion this wasn’t the case.

Perhaps you could provide evidence other than Joan of arc ( who didn’t even fight) that women fought back then. In barbarian culture and viking culture women fought pretty regularly but not in the 1400s in medieval Europe. Saying that they did over and over again wont make it true. If they did fight it was incredibly rare so rare in fact that i can count them on my fingers.

And that’s absolutly right.
It is a thread about jobs, professions and work.
But i can’t believe that some people won’t do it after dev’s released the ToolKit’s
If you watch the events in net (#) + this discussion about the possibility, I can only say.
Wait and and drink a cup of tea ;). or a lot

Back to Topic, please

Dont worry modders will make jobs that only pc people will get;)

If you mean… you never saw my friends Skyrim on XBOX360
You can convert PC mods to the xbox file format :stuck_out_tongue:

As I said, scroll up.

That said, I reiterate that I did not inject this divergence, merely responded to it. Had I realized that response would be so easily misread, misconstrued, and misunderstood, well, ok, I’d do it anyway, but probably bold and capitalize the parts that make it clear I’m responding, not originating.

This is the post to which I responded:
