Playing under Teamviewer

Well, since they released only a 64-bit Windows version that requires Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package 2013 (the real problem to not be able to play it) and I wanted to play the alpha so badly and my brother wanted to play my steam games (family share). I logged in his computer through Teamviewer and tried to play for about 30 minutes or more.

After logging into my steam account and have it installed (with the family share option turn on… it doesn’t restrict games to be installed) I had no problems, well problems that were described here in the forum, I had other problems related to teamviewer, like a disconnection while loading the game. Also I don’t know why it took so long to load the game, but I made it in…

The graphics were amazing, but the connection made it look terrible! (I was imagining the amazing screenshots shown here in the forum)

And I played in window mode, I didn’t dare to maximize and lost connection one more time (I had a limited time to play it). Since the mouse cursor is not locked in teamviewer a simple move changed dramatically where the character were looking, from strait ahead to the sky above than to the feet of the character, all of this in a fraction of a second. I had only to modify the sensitivity of the mouse to one above the lowest so I could look around and see the beautiful landscape.

As you can see in the clocks, it took me ELEVEN minutes to walk from the start position to the location shown on the screen… The teamviewer client won’t send the W key pressed continuously. It will send one, than ~500ms later another, ~500ms another… I found a way to run and it was surprisingly easy to navigate and (with the console command from the forum) I got the sword. The NPCs moved to fast to interact, but I got my sword sharpen… or at least I think I did (do I sharp just on side??).

I didn’t see any bugs because I wasn’t looking for one. I was just trying to experience this Tech Alpha as much as possible. I have no information about bug to reports or how great the graphics were, but my only hope is to see the Windows version, the Linux version and the Mac version coming out at the same time… or at least the Windows and the Mac versions…

You’re kidding me…
You will tell us that you haven’t any bugs
and you have tested it via TeamViewer?! oO
Seriously the first bug which was presented was Teamviewer  :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

With the game, none (and I wasn’t looking for one). Teamviewer had not failed but for one disconnection. I had no other option to remote connect to my brother’s laptop there were simple enough that he could just install and give me the logging and password.

It isn’t your Early Access Code?
You haven’t a good internet connection? (VDSL etc.?)

What do you mean by “your Early Access Code”? It’s my steam account (and my brother can use it because of Steam Family Sharing). My connection is good, but my brother’s upload speed is not that great, and I prioritize speed over quality.

What i mean with “Your Early Access Code” You buy it?
Or another and better question… Is it your Steam Account?
Sorry but i don’t understand why you play it over TeamViewer
instead of your brother makes a break for a few hours, so you can play and test it.
How will you find out how it runs on your PC?

=] That a look at the clock in his computer (bottom right corner ) and on my computer (top right corner).
I will find out when they release the game apparently (or if the beta has a linux or mac version…)

I think we just talk past each other. :-/
Seems the account of your brother to be.
