I love how I will have to start the game over when things finally get patched because up until you train with captain sir Bernard I was doing just fine with fighting… but as soon as I started my training non of my attacks will land. I swing my sword and it goes through him in a glitchy manner… and I had to just wait for the entire training to end without doing anything because my attacks won’t connect, but now I’m out of the training and tried fighting again and the bug is still there… none of my attacks can connect still wtf!!!
hello, me and a couple of others had the same issue, if you restart, unequip all items, then train, it should work for you.
I had the same issue with combat after the quest Run! at the beginning of the game
had the same issue on ps4 after escaping talmberg, rebooting the game solve the problem
Please report the problem to Support@kingdomcomerpg.com so they fix the bug, maybe…
See I read about restarting on a save point and unequipting everything and it still didn’t work… and now I’m going through the game not being able to fight anyone… I’ve been using the bow and arrow to complete quests and kill bandits lol… every so often I draw my sword with hopes that it fixed itself just to be let down again 
Silly question, but in what condition is your sword? I had a sword that had very low condition, and it more or less didn’t hurt anyone.
But alot have this problem, so I recon it’s a bug. Fixes have been the things you’ve tried, so I’m out of options here… I know restarting the PS4 AND the game helped me with other bugs yesterday though…
Haven’t been able to hit anyone since I got the sword so the sword is brand new…
What stats have you got and what stats do the sword require?
you can look on the info screen on the sword… each weapon has certain stat requirements for use… if your agility is to low, you may not be able to use it.
