Please make moon light?

It would awesome if the moon would move too like th sun, and have its own light at nights, also its shape should change daily.

It could solve my fustation at night, Im afraid that the game will be too dark at nights. It could be realy bad if fighting.

Also can you fix the reflection on the water at nights? For me its too bright and shiny for no reason. There should be a perfect reflection of the moon light

I actually think the opposite. There is too much light at night, namely near Henry, who’s glowing a bit too much.

What do you mean, it could be bad for fighting? It should be! I hope we will be able to use torch and sword though.

In many games dark is just a mood, a decoration and you can go trough night and tunnels without any source of light and still headshot all enemies. I’m glad Warhorse choose more realistic approach.

I talked about this topic last year as well on Youtube. In my Opinion, from what i’ve seen so far, the Nights in Kingdoms Come are realistic. Its a funny thing, that people like to claim that nights are too dark to see, but this applys only maybe the half of the time. Of course its up to a lot of Factors how dark it is outside, but i can say(life countryside, however don’t know how it is in the City) that most of the Time it isn’t so dark that you need an Torchlight to see something. I mean without light i hardly like to wander Outside but if had to, most time i could even without an Torchlight. Bright nights are there as well, mostly (if the OP mentoined) when the Moon is out with the Moonlight. Its really(again i live country side) its a beautiful sight outside, if you look across the Fields… at such times, everyone can wander without any Lightsource, its really not needed.

But back to topic.
But its still a Game. I myself would it find cool, if you have to use Torches in the Night, because it spice up the Atmosphere. But the best way would be, if they could add some kinda mooncycle. Sometimes ingame you need an Torch, sometimes not because the moon stands out and you can see because of the Moonlight anyway =)

Nothing is dark as caves! On fields and and roads certainly you don’t need any light (depending on weather and moon) unless you want to see details. But forest are pretty dark. I’ve spent a lot of time having nigh watch at camps :- ) And I could recognize figure on dozens meters on field, but could’t see a step ahead in forest. Move was slow and running there in night was madness.

It’s also important to realize, that nights now a days are far brighter then they would have been then. So our experiences of nights, probably shouldn’t be reflected in KC:D. We have cities everywhere, and the light from them can reach enormous distances. There are very few places left in the world where you can see true darkness.

True  but then I want to see more stars too… also fireflies are a realy nice feature :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, many people dose no know how to calibrate their monitors or tvs. It is realy important !!!
You can not show this with print screens, but I have to tell you this.
At my screen , I can see in the game at the nights without torch, pretty well… compared to my friend monitor. Where you are not able to see Anything at dark, The black parts at hes monitor is 100% black. Without torch you cannot play at night at all! I already told him many times that hes ips screen or what , is too dark. But he told me , no! You have to use torch in this game…
Let me show you how to get 50% more colors on your screen for example if you have nvidia card in PC ( many ppl dosen’t know this )

BY default its set to imited color. You have to set it to full or what ever is there in English.
By seting this you will notice a lot more colors on your screen, but it may fuck up other settings in your Screen’s settings.

So you have to go to your TV settings with the remote controll if you have one, and in my case on my LG TV, I had to reduce the sharpness from 100 to 10, else the colors become over saturated.
I can notice ghosting around letters on the screen if I set it too high.
I do not get it why I have to use so low numbers at the sharpness setting but still I was trying to make my screen look perfect for 4-5 days, till I found solution for everything… Sometimes if your TV is in PC mode it gets totaly different colors aswell
I think everyone has to find their own settings on their screens.

Yep, I remember camping in the wilderness of Australia for a few days, and it was amazing how many stars you’d see. Basically the complete band of the milky way. If we’re going for realism, today’s light pollution should certainly be taken into account when preparing the night sky textures.

The other thing is that nights, even in the heart of densely populated Europe, are actually quite different, depending on phase of the moon and weather. I walk the dog late every night (often past 23:00), near the outskirts of town, and vision does range from pitch black (especially when it’s raining) to really bright (full moon and snow on the ground). Still, the only thing I really need light for occasionally is picking up the dog droppings

Noticed that as well, when looking at some interior screen shots at the office and later back at home. Pitch black in the office, quite a lot of details visible at home. But I guess that can’t really be helped without adapting the settings to what suits ones needs.

It should definitely be dark enough so that when you are attacked by a patch of sray dogs (wolves wouldn’t do that in spring/early summer when they have enough food), you have no chance of seeing them coming in the grass.
