Please tell me why the symbols are here

Look at the bottom triangles in the book:

i know these represent the bases, but they have nothing to do with the actual recipes. Or at least i can’t find how they relate.
It’s driving me mad.
Please tell me there’s a reason there’s the base symbol under the HERBS section of the herbarium. It’s different from the recipe section.

Relates to the liquids it is used in?
What are the symbols for the liquids in the recipes?
Never paid attention, just did the mixing.

This made me laugh. Not at you.
Hope someone answers your question.

Those are symbols of 4 basic alchemy elements. Fire,Water, Earth ,Air

Nice. Any idea if they have anything to do with figuring out the recipes?

“Figure out” ? What for? Buy/steal the recipe, proceed to alchemy bench, read the instructions, make it happen

MY THEORY:

One day, DEVS will add much more to potions, and the symbols are HINTS, to find new unknown potions.
(you can use bell in oil and spirit BASED potions)

I did recently a run of potions and yup the symbols relate to the liquids( at least in the recipes).
one each for water, wine, spirits and oil
