Possibility to save the game without quit?

Hi there.

I just started over to explore the world of KC:D. A very beautyful and immersive world by the way. But i had several game crashes because of overheating GPU (solved with precisionX) or freezes and i had to start over and over again. I mean i’m ok with the crashes because it’s alpha but is there any way to save the world trough console? Actually i have to quit trough the the game menu from time to time to get a save.

Is there any other way?

Hello @Apop85

Right now you cannot save the game without quitting it.
But as i mentioned several times in other topics: at the begining of October there will be new alpha version.

This version should possibly deal with performane issues. And it might even have classic save/load function. (but I am guessing there)
Anyway if performance issues are solved, then the save/load feature wont be much of a problem.

at the moment save feature is also a bit buggy, some quests do not work as they should after reloading, and Miroslav is standing up from his grave. But as @ProkyBrambora said, next alpha will be there soon, and maybe we will get a better save feature.

I see you all talking about things I do not see at all in game. am I missing something? I see NO option to save. I think if you equip. and or unequip you need to save, did this work? is character customization? yet?
the quests are supper bugging I got the deed for the lady but when I see her she has NO chat (Press E). see a guy butt skating around the road (like a dog cleaning his bottom) took a screen shot. I cant find any way to finish poisoning quest, and cant find the key. No farmer quest for flute. I also killed the Cumans but the items are marked as stolen. and when I equip some of them vanish. Also I am making sounds like I am in pain. But my health is 100%… I’m new. So any help or advice will be helpful. Buy ya a pint! Thank you. Sabbathiel

When you quit the game from the pause menu the game is saved.

And these sound like some nasty bugs! Not had anything too serious myself, I could only suggest you try start over or perhaps repair the alpha client to see if that might fix it. It should be possible since its on Steam.

As for the quest about the food poisoning you got to talk to the fisherman (by the bridge) and the local lawman (centre of the village) also a woman called Maria I think to solve the mystery to it. To cure the guy you have to go to an old woman whom I believe is on the southernmost end of the map, she will teach you how to make potions where you can try some basic alchemy.

The farmer guy moves around and is fairly similiar to all the others so it can be hard to find the right guy.

There won’t be too much of any character customization but for equipment and how you make his personality I believe. Though I hear different hairstyles/beards are being theorized.
