[possible SPOILER] For all that complaining Runt is too hard

On my way to the Merciful Trophy i got to the point where i finaly can kill someone, but i thought it could be a good idea to make the fight a little bit interesting. And better save than sorry if that kill would count against me although it shouldn’t

And some ppl think it’s hard.

For me he was too easy, less than 10 seconds honestly. Stop moaning people and raise your level only a bit and come back to face him.

Anyone kept going with their playline despite losing the battle for presbitylavitz? If Runt survives, I guess you have another encounter later?

Fighting him was hard, I did a lot of side quests and got a lot of perks for sword fighting before I fought Runt. I never beat him by sword fighting he always killed me… Mainly because it took half my life to kill archers outside before I fought Runt. How I beat him was easy. I just shot him in the head with one arrow. I think it was a better hunting arrow. Runts armor has a lot of hit points.

If Runt kills you, you have to load the game, you have to kill Runt, unless you can knock him out or something.

If I recall the beta, your commander can call a retreat if you lose too many men before the encounter vs Runt. I’ll have to try that deliberately next time

I shot him in the face after trying to really fight him for 2 hours …

Don’t think it’s like that in the full release. I thinl you get ‘‘game over: lost to many man’’ or something like that, then reload to continue…

Do that again with a charisma character that has no points invested into combat

I could but it sounds like suicide :face_with_head_bandage::grin:

Ooooo, you got lucky a couple times. You were close to death out the gate and your stam was so dangerously low lol. A couple times he hit you but didnt combo. It would’ve been a lot different had he combo’d you lol

When i fought him i lost probably half health, but i was a green horn back then. I probably won’t get hurt next time

You’re right. i got lucky. And the perk that pops up at 1:12 is the one that allow you to survive a deadly blow (Last Gasp). And for the low stam, that was planned because of the furious perk, but i’m not sure if this works with unarmed

And this is my 3th game. But the first time against him was a good fight, he gave me good, too.

I stabbed him in the face twice with a Longsword & he was dead.

I actuly really enjoyed my fight with him. I refused to cheese him and I decided to go toe-to-toe with him. It was actually a very bloody knock down drag out brawl. I literally cheered when I beat him as everyone said he is so hard and unbeatable. I also ignored training Henry over and over opting to fight real people almost immediately and he was better for it. By the time I made it to Runt, I was regularly killing entire Cumen camps. It got even more ridiculous when I looted that sword in the Rattay Bathhouse. It is called St. George’s Sword…I have not found it’s equal yet. It even makes Herod’s Sword look paltry by comparison.

St. George’s Sword is the best two handed in the game. And at the point where i hit runt with 1 fals edge combo and won on my second playthrough, i decided to not use this sword ever again. With all the perks you can get this isn’t fun, atleast for me personaly.

I am doing a second play through as what I call…Bastard Henry. I am basically a highway man. I have negatives in almost every town and castle. Literally half the guards in Rattay are walking around with only a sword sans armor (I went around choking them out and selling their gear to Hanish). I love it when guards get so angry with me that they won’t accept the yield. You know this is happening when certain guards are either standing around when the super pissed guard attacks (letting the fight go down) or will give chase until you yield…leaving only one angry guard. It turns into a mutual combat sort of thing and even if I kill them, no guard will interfere or attempt to charge you with murder. At any rate, I am using the Pricker sword or this play through. St. James sword is far too overpowered. I have even begun using the bow more than my sword (challenging and infinitely more hilarious). Knocking a knight in full plate armor out with a head shot from a wounding arrow is fantastic. I love shooting people in the limbs with really week arrows (can’t remember what they are called). “Aaahhh, my leg…the bastard is shooting people with arrows, GUARDS!”
