… or rich people and people of power, yes, definitely, ‘peasant’ was not the greatest word to use. It’s quite logical when you think about it, capable people were leaders. Still, we don’t really have to go far to get an example of a person who rose far above what he used to be without formerly being a part of nobility (part of relatively right family however, yes), and that being Jan Žižka. I don’t know what social standing did blacksmiths have, but I can’t imagine it being particularily bad.
Nonetheless, I would not like to see such an element implemented in the game, for being a power fantasy and being quite far-fetched. However, saying that “we know there is no historic precedence” is quite bold - unless you happen to know the entire known world’s history.
