Does anyone know a good place to practice lock picking. The chest behind the mill is now permanently opened for me so I can’t practice there.
Not one place, but get up early in the morning when people are still sleeping, game saved, and lockpick anything that’s near.
during the day you should look for barns and sheds. They often have chests in them.
Also, when quests start or end, the game is saved and often NPC:s leave you alone in a place with chests nearby. A golden opportunity.
There are many possibilities. When investigating Neuhof studfarm after the raid, everybody stays in place where they are. It’s easy to pick a lot of locks in different buildings.

yup, plenty in there.
You should poke around more where ever you go. Stick your nose in places where you don’t belong.
I have found High class places that were deserted in in the day and I just walk up to and loot.
If you have decent stealth and good rep. and charisma those help you getting in or out ( of trouble)
