Predict this game's metacritic score. Why? Because its fun!

If you guys backed this game and are convinced you’ll like it, that’s fine. There’s nothing wrong with this. But truthfully, most RPG players are like me and are aware of this game, but are skeptical. It really is a wait and see what kind of game if you haven’t been following it religiously.

my prediction: 75/100 metacritic average. I think reviewers will overall like this game, but they will list a lot of issues it has, some founded, some not. Yes, it will have some jank and clunkiness; I think most players are aware its not going to have the polish of a finished AAA game. I think this games’ success will depend on if the story and characters are interesting and fun to see, or if they’re bland with no personality.

If this game knocks it out of the park, then we can be looking at the next CDPR and the witcher, except historical setting obviously.

I just looked up games that might inspire this game development as I see some similarities.
Gothic 81. NPC daily cycles.
Mount & Blade 72 or Chivalry MW 79. Combat system.
Skyrim 94. Leveling system.
Fable 83. Beginning set up.
Witcher 86. Quest system.
My score would 82. But i never played Beta and don’t usually rate games with scores.

Skyrim 94 and giving the witcher 3?? A score of 86 shows that meta critic is bad. Even if its the first witcher, even that has better world building and atmosphere then skyrim.

Not to mention it is actually toxic to the gaming industry. When publishers demand of a developer to make a game with a metacritic score of 90 and above, metacritic should have been shelved.
I never saw the need to score a game, just read or watch a review and make your own mind up about what you read or watch.
Even then, just like metacritic, reviewers often ( p )review a game that somehow is different from what us common folk get in our hands… very strange that.

The critic score on that site is meaningless to me.

Pros:
Story: The game is from dan vavra, who made the mafia 2 story and since this is what he was always passionate about, as he states in his videos, i think the main story will be superb.

Combat : combat will be a 2 sided sword. on one hand people will love it for its complexity and realism, while others dislike for that very reason, they could find it too static or not action packed enough.

Atmosphere : I have the feeling and we can already see it in the demos and the beta: there is no other game feels more like a time travel to medieval Europe like KC:D, aside from the best forestst in a game so far to ever exist.

Graphics: The game looks awesome and we can see it, if ther isn’t a major downgrade it will look great.

Sound: This will be a major plus for the game too, the tracks composed by jan valta are out there and sound awesome.

Cons:
facial animations and the accent of the NPC’s will be controversial for sure as the game npcs sound different from those in other middle age media.

The Ai, will have major bugs at the beginning, I bet my next paycheck on that and bugs in general will be a problem on many systems, like all new open world games.

He actually did the first Mafia. He left the company during development of second one mainly because he didn’t like the decisions made for this game.

I think that he still worked on big part of the story in the second one before he left tho
