PS4: crash on launch

I’ve had a good look on the forums and I can’t seem to find anything about this.

I bought the game new on disc for the ps4 a few days ago, and after installing the patch etc tried to play a game I’ve been really looking forward to for a while now. However, the game crashed (generic error code) at the end of the intro before any menus. I’ve tried starting the game on multiple occasions, but the intro has never made it as far again, crashing every time.
I’ve deleted and redownloaded the game 3 times now, and even rebuilt the database on my playstation (fixes most things, you should do it if you don’t already), but it still crashes without letting me even start the game.

I’ve been into the store I bought it from, and they’ve cleaned the disc etc, but I tried again when I got in this evening, and still won’t start. Anyone else having this problem?

I’d really appreciate some help, I’m hella gutted about not being able to play.

Thats weird… I dont understand why the performance on consoles is so different even between the exact same console some can play it just fine others cant even start the game.

If not, I’d recommend you to do that to ensure that the developer is working on a fix.
I cant really help you any further since I dont have a PS4 the only advice I can give is be patient…
sorry for you - on one hand you cant play although you really like to but on the other hand maybe your experience will be even better when some time has passed and patches are available…

Thanks, when I was in the store speaking to the them about my issues, 3 of them have the game on disc on ps4, and no issues other than the ones that haven’t been patched yet. So looks like maybe the disc is just defective? I emailed support anyways (this topic was essentially copied from the email I sent them) Hopefully I can get a disc swap and it works.

Kinda only replying to get this bumped and I keep seeing actual responses from WH staff in forums for topics that are duplicates and already answered elsewhere, but I haven’t even had a response to my support ticket. I mean I paid a fair amount for the is game, and I haven’t even had a chance to experience and of the bugs people are complaining about cos the game won’t even boot properly.

Not that anyone is reading this topic, but to update people, looks like my hard drive is somehow the problem. I’ve done a full factory reset, reinstalled everything and still not working. No other issues with other games, but the disc works on my friends PlayStation, so who knows. I’m now trying to get a refund as this game is useless to me, though not the studios fault. I’m absolutely gutted about this, cos even the playstation support team couldn’t work out why it’s not working g.

thats weird… I dont know if its sonys fault or if Warhorse can do something about it…
everyone has a different experience on their console although they should be identical

Yeah it pretty naff, but so long as I’m not made to pay full price for a game I can’t play, I’m not all that mad. Just really disappointed I can’t play a game I’ve been hyped for for about a year.

Sony escalated me to tier 2 troubleshooting (whatever that means) so hopefully they can sort the problem (probably something silly) and I get to play soon.
