The patch did not solve this problem. R2 still not working in the fight.
It actually seemed to make it worse for me. Before if I smashed the hell out of it then it worked once in a while, but not anymore
I play on PC… But I have to say, that is unacceptable. 2 weeks and it’s still broke.
Not only that but now you can’t use the torch equip/unequip button.

Nope, there hasn’t been any new patch since, so we’re stuck for now.
But as a workaround you could switch your L2 and R2 in the Acessibility settings menu, it helps for me.
Still not working for me. At least before I could get 1 of my controllers to work–now none of them will. I am about to give up===at least for a few months till they get things right!
For me the last patch actually fixed the torch. Never had a problem with the R2 so can’t say, but I was glad I didn’t have to manually equip a torch every time again.
