PS4 Pro looks blurry in move? Sieht es verschwommen aus bei euch?

Hey, guys

im play on the ps4 pro with a Monitor
Looks the Game a little bit blurry in moving? And when you stand still looks sharp?

Sieht das Spiel bei euch auch leicht verschwommen aus sobald ihr euch bewegt? Wenn man still steht sieht es richtig gut aus.

Thanks

That could be your tv struggling to keep up with the ps4 pro. Is your tv a ultra HD tv?

no, full hd tv and monitor. Some Pc Useres have this Effekt maybe because anti aliasing?

You can’t compare ps game play and pc game play. On pc there are millions of things that can cause stutter in game play from dropping fps to over heating gpu’s to very simple things. But on the pro the first thing I would look at is to make sure it’s set up correctly for the tv your using. If your ps4 is trying to display 60hz for example but your tv is only a 50 this would cause the problems your talking about. Also if your ps4 is extremely dusty inside that also gives poor results with the console overheating etc…but I would say it’s the way you’ve set the pro to work with your tv

Heya answer most likely; (if TV)

Its the ‘motion resolution’ of the set.
TVs (LCD/LED/PLED/QLED etc) all render less than full high definition in scenes with motion.
It is fine for movies (recorded at low framerates and ‘with blur’ during motion). When LED sets first hit the market most sporting events had to come up with new angles to catch the action at or it would all just be a blur and we wouldnt be able to see anything clearly.
Most TVs can engage a smooth motion mode that badically doubles the ‘motion resolution’.
This is the number they typically quote as their motion resolution; but GAMERS dont want the lag that creating extra frames after inputting the image to the set adds.
Most ‘game mode’ options disengage the ‘motion plus’ features in order to reduce the latency of the frame displaying.

Ie when we hit the jump button we want the jump to happen within 6-16ms.
Its generally 20-50ms, and with frame enhancement modes on it can become 70+ms (depending on the set).
This can be the equivalent of having five frames of delay to the animation. (Typical console platforms)

In a game like KCD which isnt ‘twitch reflex’ (eg not competitive fighting games or guitar hero) turning on the motion enhancer might lower the ‘blur/darkening’ a little and look much better.

It really depends on the set.
Both mine and my GFs TV run full motion resolution.
Mines a high quality plasma no longer found on the market- hers a top of the line Phillips. Both do full motion resolution.

My older Samsung was a $1600 price point and had decent motion resolution- 600+ lines (better than many 4k sets). I couldnt stand Skyrim on it.
Stills looked so beautiful (photorealistic with a few hundred mods running), but as soon as the controller was touched = blur, blur, blur…

So I downgraded to a plasma (I hated the idea of burn in and much prefer the clarity of LCD pixels when 'up close/as a monitor); but the plasma could do 1080 lines of motion resolution.
Something basically no 4k sets do whilst in gaming mode. (A few top of the line units, generally many many thousands of dollars, will render 1200 lines with the motion res enhancemwnt on. Which adds lag- so gamers generally get the half resolution of 600 lines.)
Most tvs (4k or otherwise) render 150-600 lines of motion res whilst gaming.
OLED likely would. (Sets I looked at did) and plasma could (with panasonic and pioneer having left the market~ why bother?).

I have not seen a monitor do less than full resolution motion resolution. There is a reason monitors cost what they do for ao little size… or so much more than equivalent TV sizes… its a totally different product.

Tvs are expensive to do right and consumers consistantly vote with their wallets for lower quality (cheaper price point with MORE features).

Carhode Ray Tube (crt) sets from yesteryear, before hdmi/digital processing fenerally rendered images within 2ms.
Playing old skool games on modern sets requires relearning twitch timings (try playing mario and landing on the flagpole top spot for 5000 points)

Modern 4k sets are a joke

We didnt need them. Consumer trend being bigger screens, leaving four 32"1920x1080 screens together and selling them as some huge screen, 4K, was an easy move that required little effort. Paired up with typically cheap processing chips and quality went downhill… but they are cheap and seem like an upgrade- at least when reading a very misleading spec sheet… (eg most tvs claim twice the motion res they can achieve- quoting best case scenarios using anyspecial processing.
$8000 sets are paired with high quality panels and great motion handling chips (and upscalers etc). The absolute best 4K sets dont render better motion res than my six year old panasonic plasma.

Gamers needs are for the best sets if they dont want that horrible blur. Anyone whos played the same games on a monitor; then sees a cheap tv doing it- find it horrible and ‘unwatchable’.
Good news is- with everyone getting the 4k buying bug (joke/avoid) better quality sets are bevoming cheap second hand finds.
Look up the model: research its motion res and latency… some quality sets should be around for a couple of hundred that do 800+ lines of motion and have 20-30ms of latency. Bargain! (These same sets should have great colour accuracy and contrast: more important than resolution…)

Soz for the rant: this is an education I have to share when aiding people in TV purchases. Gamers have the highest requirements.
Soz if this is bad news about a ‘new purchase’.

Turn motion blur off if it is an option. I know I have it turned off on PC.

the ps4 looks ugly in general tho i’ve seen it at a mates house. try xbox one or pc
