PS4 Pro Patch 1.4.3 still same stuttering/judder

I hoped the latest patch will fix the MAIN console issue, but it didn’t. Same problem - when I move forward or backward or just turn camera the screen begins to stumble/stutter/judder or what ever you call that. Like it freezes at split-second and than run normally a couple of seconds, than again. It is really annoying. Will it ever be fixed?

I don’t seem to have this problem, if anything, the graphic texture seems to be improved.
Is your problem possibly that you simply didn’t delete any of your old saves?
It is a not so well known fact, and I mentioned this before, that on ps4, the game runs out of space when you have too many saves and the only way to fix this is by deleting a lot of your old saves.
Since I was made aware of this and started deleting most of the old quests, the game has been running pretty flawless for me.

Yes. I deleted all the old saves, but problem still there. I don’t even know what to do. Maybe it is some v-sync issues or frame pacing… Still very uncomfort for my eyes

The horse ride or sprint are awful - because of these stutters you seem to be standing still.

Please post a video! I have none of this on ps4pro

Ok. I will post video later.

Same problem here on Xbox One…Before patch and after patch, almost the same stuttering (not so brutal like before, but it is still there!)

Omg! Never happened to me

Hello,

this bug seems to be more persistent than we thought, but it is definitely a major one, which we have to fix with with a priority focus. We assume, that the cause of the problem for PS4 is the same as for XBoxOne.
It is way easier, to get the savegames from PS4, than to get them from XBoxOne.
If you want to help us, to locate the bug and get rid of it, please send us your savegame.
Here is a tutorial, how to get the savegame.

So far, we were not able to reproduce this bug, which made it difficult to locate and fix it.
We had some ideas what could have caused this bug, and fixed the problems, which fixed the bug for some people, but others still have it.
The savegame can help us to locate the bug, but it is not a guarantee, that we will be able to reproduce it.

Please send in your savegame with the subject “143 Twitching bug” to support@kingdomcomerpg.com

Try cleaning your console. Rebuild database. I had similar problem in watch dogs, after that it stopped. It is recomended to rebuild database after each firmware patch or installing / deleting any game.

Thank you for answer. I definitely want to help to fix this problem. I will send my save files as soon as I get home.

And if your ps4 hdd is too full?

I don’t think so. There about 500 GB of free space. First i’ll try to rebuild my ps4 database. Maybe it helps

It’s not a free space issue. It’s not a controller issue. It’s not a ‘reboot the console’ issue. This game breaking issue is still happening, and it’s a developer issue. And I still can’t play on Xbox One either because of it. Jitter is still brutal and unforgivable.

Some people havebit and some people dont.
People who dont have it wonder what is dofferent between my console and yours for it to happen…

Nobody is sure? Sure.
We want this identified and ‘moved on from’ (once fixed).
Cant fix what cant be diagnosed… (can but the treatment is horrible!)

I had stutter for with KCD- for around twenty-thirty minutes…
It got worse over that time. Was very frustrating.
I started a new game and it the stutter came back after a while, and got worse over time.

I unplugged my trackpad, game fixed itself.
Odd but I could see that some of the patches have tweaked with controller inputs so I began with solutions related to that. In my case I fixed it for myself.

Saying its for the devs to solve just limits your solution to being provided by twenty people rather than 20,000.

If I had a problem and people wanted to help Id assess the ability to perform (eg qualifications of the person offering to help)- I wouldnt have open heart sugury performed by BoBo ‘the clown’ (unless BoBo is moonlighting and actually has the paperwork and experience…

When we identify the issues cause, WH will get that info too… and the fix will be served to everyone quickly.

Id not want to disuade people from sorting this though - cause WH having to keep resources on it means we wont move on to next stage of updates… (optimisation comes after bug squishing)

I thinknwe need control groups.
People who save scrubed seperate to people who play with mods seperate to people with more than 100 hours of playtime. … and yes- we need to understand about console users hardware setups. Once used - not all consoles are identical- and that might lead to issues.

I was argued with by some ‘educate’ in here - telling me to ‘butt out’-they are an expert; even changed their drive to an ssd hybrid (present models having srive platters that are misaligned in size to what playstation expects) -would have massively downgraded their performance for this game… talking aboit thisnissue is what we do to get them sorted…

Well you are clearly a PC person and this is by and large a console issue at this point (see where it says PS4 in the thread title), so your entire comment here if off-topic (besides, you sentence structure is hard to decipher as well). Yes, the PC folk have found ways to fix this, the console people can’t. It’s on the devs. That’s the deal. This issue has been going on for months now… “when we identify the cause”???

The devs need it diagnosed.
Hence the discussion.

The pc is the lead platform.
Solutions are trialled there and brought to console.
Windows has changed its input’edry this year (multiple times I would hazard).
Earlier this year there was a couple of week period that mice wouldnt work properly/had erratic input in Windows.

I personally bought three mice through that period. Many million more would have as well.
Wgen microsoft magically changed things again, all mice started working right again.

Problem is during this time KCD developers had already dealth with camera jolt due to the issue. (It probably made lockingpicking harder amoungst other things).

Now we know devs have been having to deal with ghost targets auto locking and a few other things… all of which could prove to be the cause of the camera jank.
The last thirty minutes I have been testing secondary controllers inputs…
-as I mentioned- I had had the stutter but found it to be caused by an overly sensitive mouse controller.(unplugging it removed the issue)
Sure the issue appeared in KCD after a certain patch but was that because WH were responding to changes in windows directinput-most likely.

Playing forza earlier today I noticed my gps was taking me off to places (setting map points).
Checked the menus/settings for what keys/buttons would do it. It was a keyboard key, ‘L’.
Given I was using an xbox controller- my keyboard ‘ghost inputing’ is odd.
I jumped into KCD to see if the L key could affect camera - and yes- its a ‘turn’ key.

Is it related to the camera shake? Highly likely.
Should warhorse know about it? Absolutely!
How would they find out?
By users giving feedback.

I might be in a thread you think I have no cause to be in on the basis that YOU only want the devs to talk with you or you only want tobhear from other people suffering from it.
Seems odd that meaningful banter to have the issue addressed and resolved would cause you concern…

To each their own.

In the meantime- I like KCD so I will continue to support the game.
With a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
Same thing I take most places in life!

I haven’t had this issue at all, other issues sure, but not this one. Hope it gets resolved soon, that seems quite aggravating. Love the quick response by a Warhorse team member. It’s a great game, just was released a bit too soon in my opinion.
