Ps4 riposte game breaking combat bug

I have emailed support about this situation.

In my last playthrough I was able to riposte everytime no problem as soon as i completed the required weapon master strike tutorial. Since this playthrough both my saves have been overwritten to start a new and now i am left unable to riposte, allowing me only to complete sword master strike ( axe and mace is broke). Even though I’ve completed the riposte tutorial for swords, in normal combat ingame it wont do a riposte at all.
This is a big part of combat for me being able to riposte and now I find the will to play the game very very hard… i dont know if i cant wait weeks upon weeks for another patch, I fear I’m going to lose interest in the game :frowning:

Did you get a reply in the meantime?
Those sods f*cked a lot up with those patches (wich is a level of stupidity on its own) and this ís indeed a big one.

It should be fixed by the next patch. They replied asking for saved then didn’t reply anymore! i know i defending this game on release big time and now I’m just bored of the whole waiting game while they continue to release more broken updates on pc :joy: Maybe if they took their time on the first patch they wouldn’t have created a bigger mess for themselves to fix in the long run. Apparently 1.4 for consoles will contain all the recent 1.4 and above patches that pc has gained… purely because every time they release a new one on pc it resets the certification period for us console users. Lesson learned? Take your time on the first and don’t rush lmao!

At least they replied at least once to you.
Think that I believe they chew off more than they can swallow with this game. Really need some decent projectmanagement if you ask me, than I’m sure this game can become a classic (including a legendary bugfest start).

Hope this will get fixed.

I have the same issue too. When I first started playing and learned how to do the riposte it was possible. Now even in training it will not happen when i ask captain bernard to teach me. keep in mind i am at level 20 sword skill now and my other combat skills are pretty good. i was starting to think it was just me

Wow man… this game is like a cage of bugs waiting to jump at your neck, I’m so affraid to start a new game.
Mine is affected by an unknow bug that drops my FPS below 20 everywhere, but this one seems very frustrating too. (PS4)

You realise it is the same game on both platforms and if they fixed it on one, they will fix it on the other soon after.

Again you realise that not all platforms are on the same patch and at the time of writing this OP it hadn’t been fixed on any of them. I don’t think you understand much but are one of those people who like to pretend they do. You fail to take note of any of the information on this thread :sweat:
