“Texture quality and streaming improved - in 1.6 version we lowered memory allocated to textures, which fixed many crashes, but lowered visual quality. We have now managed to implement a better fix that still prevents crashes, but has less impact on texture streaming. We know this is still an issue and will continue to address it in further patches.”
I haven’t played KCD in a long while and noticed this update today. Has anyone had the time to test it and see how it improves the problems? When the last update came out I probably put in maybe about an hour before buying both Far Cry 5 and Skyrim: Special Edition with survival mode and being too invested in that to even keep playing KCD. I ultimately got tired of waiting for KCD to be fixed… The last patch seemed playable to me but the pop-in not being addressed kept me from continuing, not to mention other bugs like my score being cut off screen to the left during dice games.
