Found the forest clearing, get the “pick up” prompt when i look at the wooden cross but pressing “x” does nothing, he won’t pick up the cross.
The problem was much worse actually. It was not only the cross but every npc as well. The only things i managed to interact with after this occurrance are my horse and herbalism stuff i could still pick flowers. However it doesnt matter because a few days later the game crashed, called my save files corrupt and set me back a week in time. Thanks obama
