You get more of these type of quests after the initial one. I’ve found that stealth is a good way to go.
I struggled with the first one too because my fighting skills suck. I ended up drawing two away, one at a time, killing them and almost dying in the process. I returned after dark to finish off the rest.

It worked now (buggy game). This time I had to fight half of them.
what a f**king retarded this combat system. when I hit it doesn’t hit, when I press block I get hit!! blocks almost never work. no way to fight evenly, ridiculously stupid game.
Make sure you go back to Bernard to get your reward once done that and hes standing near the combat Arena ask to train combos and after that master strikes. This Will significantly increase your chances of survival
Others do not have these issues. Timing is very important in this game re: combat. It is likely you do not have the timing right yet.
Calling the game names is well…silly.
Put on Dark Silisian Gambot, Brown hose, and get a dagger. Wait until after the sun sets, then proceed.
The key to not taking heavy damage in combat is not letting your stamina drop. If you’re getting winded in the fight, back off and let your stamina re-build. Makes a huge difference!
LOL lockpicking is so easy, you literally just follow it with your mouse while you hold D.
The game makes it clear that a simple peasant simply can’t go and make mince meat of everyone, you cant take on 4 guys and expect to win cough expect from me cough

This isn’t a slash Slash Slash type of game and you’ve killed 20 guys type game.
If something is clearly too hard I erge you to come back later, go to the yellow stars on the map, they’re quests.
Hi all, just to let you know what happened next:
I got stuck on that mission where you take on the guy who killed your parents (impossible to kill him, I couldn’t even make a hit). so I used immortality (was only able to kill him with a bow).
Later on I cheated for 25.000 coins, bought the plating/sword/mace. now it’s OK to fight. still hard to kill with the sword, switched to mace which works much better!
That’s the good part in the game, you have to train yourself to be efficient
