Question and Answers BUG WORKAROUND

Any chance of this working without loading into a previous save? I don’t want to redo all the stuff I did in the meantime.

Don’t know. As far as I understand, it increases priority of command “Message To NPC (Radzig)” to go to lookout point, instead of going to Neuhof. I don’t know what’s the difference between “racek_waitsForHenry” and “racek_leaveToWoods”, and don’t know what trigger that “MessageToNPC”.
When I load post-cutscene saves, Radzig stands in Neuhof and doesn’t planning to go to camp.

Afaik this change only gets Radzig back to the camp, but doesn’t help trigger the cutscene, right?

No, you can talk to him and cutscene will start (also he appears in camp with horse)

This is what is happening to me as well. Very frustrating. Unfortunately none of the listed workarounds have worked. I tried going back to talk to Mattias and it just leads to an infinite loading scree.

Hi there guys, found this on the Reddit.

It worked for me, so I loaded all the way back to where I still had to talk to Melichar (basically both icons were still visible for main quest). Quickly killed the guard and the prisoner and then i reported to Radzig. That worked for me. I lose about 20 saves/ 3 hours but at least I can continue the main story line. Hope it works for you guys

Yup, the save/load seem to drop some key data for some of the quests, for me it started with the 1.2.5 PC patch, but it might be just a coincidence… So restarting the quest would do the trick. The problem is, that some of us, did quite a lot since that quest started…I for one, took about 20h pause from the main quest line just as I was supposed to report to Radzig. So I’m not going to reset 20h of progress because of this.

With that said, I’m hoping for fix from Warhorse for now. They seem to have an unfortunate pattern with quest fixing though - by looking at the previous fixes, they do correct the quest but still require people to load up the autosave that starts the quest, which still gets rid of all the progress between the quest start and the bug. If this will be their resolution this time around, I’ll take a break from the game for 2-3 months and start anew once they get rid of all the blockers for good.

This worked for me thanks os much!!! i lost a solid days worth in side quests but i dont mind replaying them as this game is awesome thanks so much this worked for me atleast for those still having trouble. Radzig wasnt there initially when i got to the camp but i slept and woke up and he was there and the cut scene worked!

@DrFusselpulli I see you are a Community Manager kind sir. Would you happen to have some sort of information whether the lack of cutscene in Questions and Answers quest will be addressed with the upcoming patch?

Yeah this would be good to know :frowning: I’ve tried so many different ways of getting to the next quest and it’s just not working!

I fuck this bug. Last available save 1 day (real day) ago. Who is this asshands man who tested it?

@DrFusselpulli Are you able to make up as quickly as possible this bug that blocks the progress of the game?

I did almost 10 hours of side quests in hopes of seeing this problem corrected.

If this bug is not correctable, then I will ask for a refund steam detailing precisely why it prevents us from enjoying the content in its entirety.

Regards,

I also have the blocking bug for Questions and Answers. On the PC I did Pestilence, made the cure, saved the prisoner, protected him from the mob, took him back to Rattay. Went back to Radzig in the camp and talked to him and told him about the counterfeit coin meeting. He said not to leave as he had something important to tell me then he wanders off. Nothing triggered the cut scene. Since then I have contacted support and continued doing about 20 hours (realtime) of side quests and raising skills. So I seriously hope that warhorse provide a proper fix and not a rollback to a previous save, otherwise I will be asking for a refund because the main story is blocked.

i’m stuck here too. no way to roll back save since it was so long ago and i did all my side quests. wtf please acknowledge and fix this

 So many questions here…

Hey developers! I understand how difficult is to clean all the bugs (i’m working in gaming industry myself), but this one is GAME BREAKING BUG for the christ sake!

As one of this kind should be addressed IMIDIATELY as it is reported by players (as you are not big developper I see that this game is a “banana product” checked carefully by users, not internal QA).

In my company after so many posts all the programmers would be ask to fix it in Sunday or nightime, not a week or two later, just to show that we care about our customers. And fixing it as “go 13 hours back, and play again” is not a solution at all. Players appreciate it, because making mistakes is a human thing. Refusing, or delaying a fix is NOT FAIR as you already took their money!

The patch will appear when it’s done.
I have no idea why are people refusing to use the known workaroud already (replaying from the interrogation autosave).

The answer is quite simple: it’s not working. I’ve tried to go back to interrogation (before I start to speak with the prisoner), but nothing was fixed. I’ve not tried to go back to the last boss fight, because it was 8 hours of real time play (I did a lot of sidequests) so if someone say me, that solution is to take 8 hours of my life I could only laugh. I’m a busy adult man. It was’nt a cheap game, so I just want it to be possible to pass main storyline, not to be perfect.

Sorry but I find it especially odd not saving the game after interrogation cutscene before talking to sir ratzig is working for some and not for others.

I’m also busy adult man with one foot in the grave.

@Joxer Ive played 20 hours of side quest. Game Have Save limit, so i dont have any saves before this quest.

Maybe odd, but that is a fact. I’ve already tried twice, wchich took me an hour or more and playing the game is supposed to be fun, not irritating.

Anyway I’m supervising a bunch of game betatesters at work and do some testing myself and I got money for it. It’s not use for me to do the same thing after work and pay my money for someones job.

As a busy man you I’m sure you understand the importance of every free hour of your time that you have to spend on your hobbies. With that said, some of us spent some time doing side quests, like myself, where I had about 18-20 hours of gametime between the bugged quest autosave and the point I’m currently at in game. I’d rather not throw these hours out through the window to go back. So it is kinda problematic

With that said, we should wait patiently and see whether upcoming patch will fix anything. I work in QA for AAA titles myself, so I’m not gonna grab any pitchforks :stuck_out_tongue: Lets keep it calm. I second one of the opinions here though, key blockers usually mean overtime and swift actions.

Edit: Oh, and testing a game with such open environment and variables like this, especially for new company is quite an achievement and a lesson to remember. All the possibilities…I’m not surprised to see so many bugs.
