the whole point of a video game is to experience things you couldnt do in real life , like butchering an entire town men women and children then graciously ride into the sun set without a care in the world . If you try and add morals or rules to games i think youâre destroying the whole purpose of why people game .

wow dood. Itâs funny how a guy can say one thing, and another can hear something completely different. You donât need to be bruce lee to stand up to punks. You donât need to be a martial arts expert to protect your friends. If you think that everyone who points a gun at you or holds a knife is dangerous then youâre completely ignorant of that part of humanity, and Iâm happy for you that you pretty much live in a bubble away from conflict, except online. Never did I say I go looking for fights. However two things people have continuously tried to harm me for in my life. The first being my skin color. Itâs white and of course my genitalia being male also upsets people these days. Then Iâm gay, and you know what that upsets people to. Do I choose any of these three things? No. Did I ask to be attacked for any reasonâŠno. However people are idiots. All throughout history and people will always choose things to be idiots about though they may change across time. We donât live on an ideal planet. We arenât the most ideal species, but we are what we are. We live with that and we find a way to survive. I survive because I learned to enjoy the fights thrust upon me. I joined the military because I couldnât stand ass wholes killing innocent people who are just trying to survive. People who just want to live in peace, find love, and be with their families. So next time you want to badger someone online because they live a life different from yours. Donât. Just try to learn. Realize that what you know is not everything and there is always a reason to learn.
More people are murdered or mugged by âpunks with knifes or gunsâ then trained people with knifes or guns. I wasnât hardly badgering you but you looked at being attacked by people with knives as a pleasant and experience and then proceeded to say you love a good fight. You say people attack you because youâre gay? How would they know unless of course you were throwing it in their faces or screaming about it in public like a lot of gays do. If you are really being attacked this often then you might be the problem here. A person who would attack someone for as stupid a reason as there skin color would be a very dangerous person especially if they were armed. Read about or watch any knife attack and you will know how foolish and arrogant your attitude towards them sounds.

itâs ok when youâre gay but why do you have to tell about that in this forum? It sounds like you wanted to tell people about a serious desease although it is just a simple and absolutely unimportant thing of your privacy. There is no reason to publish it and i think that no one really cares about it.
When it comes to the game I would like to have many opportunities without any moral assessment. When I am in the mood I would like for example to decide to report a gay person so he or she gets burned(or whatever) or I like to have the ability to say ok I wonât report this person because I donât think that burning is appropriate.
I donât like games where you have to be the âgoodâ guy or the âbadâ one. It should depend on your decisions and there should be many important ones of them so you have a big influence on the world, your reputation and your abilities.

So you are saying that there are armed attackers who are actually not dangerous?
I would really like to know in what place on Earth a person faces constant attacks by agressors with knives and guns but the attackers are incompetent to the point that an average Joe with no special training can fend them off without being stabbed/shot in the process.

no what i think he means is that many that carry weapons wouldnt have the balls to actually use them . which is true id say about 70% wouldnt actually use them but it is a gamble.
also disarming someone isnt that hard , by that i dont mean do a round house kick and kick the knife from his hand but more like throwing yourself in the most unfashionable way at his wrist with the knife . a gun is a different kettle of fish but a knife is pretty much useless if you cant thrust it , of course he could slash but if you have hold of his wrist youâre restricting him of strength then its a matter of forcing it off him and if you have done it correctly you will have your entire strength concentrated on that one hand and you should be able to take it off him .

no he cant switch hand as you would have a grip of his hand and wrist and clearly the knife .
if you imagine both you hand around someone elses single hand you would be in complete control of that hand would you not ?
i would recommend putting your right leg behind his right leg and shoving back and he will go down .
a punch and a knee are far better than a stab wound.
you will get the knife off him as long as you are an average sort of size
i would also recommend screaming for some help during all of this most likely someone will hear and help or call the police if you dont have the strength to fully disarm him

My experience is, that if I have time to react against a guy who at least barely knows what to do with a blade, my best bet is to run as fast as I can - and if I do not have the time, well, then Iâm fcked anyways.
Iâve practiced in my HEMA group late middle age techniques with and against the rondell dagger based on the advanced knowledge of the body mechanics and wrestling, and they work beautifully! Up until the point, where we started to do a little free sparring. One-on-one, dagger against bare hands. Let me tell you, how many times did the dagger win, and/or cause - virtually - serious injury, when suddenly the dagger wielder did not play by the book: Practically every time.
So, Iâm really happy about all the experienced fighters in the topic, but if someone asks me to stand against a dagger or a knife, I respectfully refuse and get the fck out of there through the window.
By the way, I do not remember⊠how exactly does all that connect to KCD?
Edit: And yes, it is a valid possibility that I am simply a below average fighter, such as everyone else in my group, but I am still not too convinced about the chances against an armed and at least minimally skilled (or angered) foe. :]

Well KCD forum has attracted quite a few specialists in hand-to-knife combat who have great experience in street fights and disarming armed attackers. All the trainers of self defense who wrote countless books describing that unarmed person has basically next-to-no chance against a determined attacker with knife have nothing on the members of KCD forum, whose new and novel techniques are precious to the point nobody has ever heard of them.
If one of the main possibilities of the character development involves thievery, then covert use of knife against unassuming opponent will surly be on the table. If modern experts come to the conclusion that there are very, very little chances of survival for the attacked person, I wonder in which way will the game implement it.

i received hand to hand training in the military that included disarming people with a variety of weapons .
@Madaras would likely have also been trained in hand to hand combat to a decent level . its part of basic training.
of course nothing is 100% but very simple techniques can increase your chances greatly of coming out of the situation alive .
also not a single one of the techniques in that video you posted was even worth while as he was leaving the knife wielding hand completely unattacked , go for the knife and you will have far greater success than going for his empty hand
Also the chnaces are you wont ever face a determined attacker with a knife outside of a warzone they are just after your possessions and have no real intention of harming you any more than they have too
