Recording and uploading

Will the ones that get the alpha be able to record and upload to youtube?

That depends on the Developers, But I assume it might be a Yes, because Alpha is not the Full Version of the Game, and the Developers already did a Live Stream and they showed a little bit of the Game

My Information could be wrong also, to make sure, talk to the Moderators or Developers.

Cheers

They indicated during the reddit live chat that they were not opposed to “Youtube monetization for commentated gameplay” which would lead one to believe that posting footage of the Alpha would also be accepted, but is is always better to seek official permission.

I hope so…I was thinking about creating the whole youtube channel just for Kingdom Come, because I believe there will be tons of fun and possibillities!

alpha is for bug reporting and testing. what’s the point of showing it off to everyone?

but i guess, if you think uploading footage of unfinished games is a smart idea and it’s going to help warhorse, go ahead i guess.

And it can also backfire if there are some “funny” bugs, which would make some people less interest in the game…

I hope that everyone who will be watching these videos will know that it is early acces alpha version of the game…and if not - it’s okay - less stupid morons in the community.

The problem I that if a “moron” creates a gif and the gif goes viral and people that would possible buy this game (and were not morons) may feel less inclined to buy it.

“lets play” people are generally naive, “social” type of person who enjoys mmo, twitter, facebook. things like that. they do not understand the possible implications and consequences of uploading bugs for whole world to see.

i doubt warhorse can really control things, other than making the alpha stable and thus, really limited, to prevent issues like that. but i prefer they be generous with content and trust us to take care of bug reports and testing, and not post everything online willy nilly.

lastly, people don’t have to know where you are or what you’re doing at all times. you don’t have to show every piece of software you are using to the world. everyone thinks they are important celebrity doing important things everyone else needs to see.

Yeah good point. But look at the success of DayZ - there’s plenty of bugs, thousands of videos and still it’s selling pretty good and when the Skyrim went out it was full of bugs! Actually it was impossible to finish the storyline without looking on the internet for help and some codes.

@warhorse can we upload alpha and beta to youtube?
