Reputation and stealth

When I murder someone in the forest and no one is around to witness it, my reputation takes a massive hit in the area, which kind of doesn’t make sense. Is this considered a bug? Or working as intended?
When I knock someone out or kill someone in their sleep, people from the next door house wake up and come rushing in to investigate. Again, is this a bug? Or working as intended?
If all the above is working as intended, I don’t see stealth play as a very viable play option.
Thoughts?

They must have noticed, that someone didn’t come to home. They did investigation and came to conclusion… It was you.:wine_glass:

P.S If without jokes, who knows. Just don’t kill anyone. Be a good christian. :relieved:

Lol!
But that’s no fun! Ragdolling people down some steps is pretty hilarious.
Hope it is a bug, because it would make for a very difficult play through.

But, you know, there’re rumors around, that God watches you. When you steal something, the description changes to - “Bring it back to the place, where you took it”*.

(*) I don’t remember exactly what it says, but there’re things like that. xd

Thought this game was “realistic”???

It’s just a joke from devs. Like God is watching from above. It only works with holy items.:wine_glass:

I made a thread along these lines a few days ago. Stealth at the moment only really seems to reward your success with the immediate task. If you steal something with no witnesses, a town across the map shouldn’t know that it’s stolen, examples like the executioner at the start of the game and getting a -100 rep with citizens with no one around also apply

Hilarious jokes aside. This is quite a frustrating bug for those playing a less honourable Henry. Reputation drops due to crime really need to be tied to the witness mechanic or something.

It is not just about you. If neighbours start disappearing left and right, people will be suspicious about any unfamiliar face in the area. I know devs said during development they would implement this into the game. Maybe general negative reputation is how they dealt with it.

Somehow this doesn’t happen to me. I knock out people, I break locks, I steal, but for everybody I’m still The Great Honourable Knight Henry.

I guess this makes sense.
Doesn’t really make sense if it’s a random person you murder who is strolling through the woods.
What about knocking out someone in their sleep and the neighbor comes rushing in because they heard a mouse fart, how can that be explained?
No hostility here, just curious if these are bugs or not.

I don’t think other Christian’s would consider you a Christian if you go around murdering people though…
I found Jesus and he told me to murder people and steal their stuff and take it to the Miller to sell.

I’m pretty sure Jebus is okay with it as long as you repent.
