Does anyone know how to raise my reputation, specifically with the soldiers of specific towns? I get that giving gold to beggars raises rep with refugees and topping up with traders raises rep with them, but I dont know how to raise my rep with the soldiers. Anyone got any solid info on this yet?
Iâm having issues with soldier rep. It keeps dropping even if Iâm not anywhere near a city⊠I havenât done anything wrong they just started to hate me.
How do you even give gold to beggars? I donât have the option.
I really dont know either. My rep has pretty much steadily remained around 40 for the soldiers at Rattay but I canât figure out how to raise it. I also have no idea how to give gold to beggars. I have seen posts claiming that it helps with rep but I canât figure out how to do it, and it doesnât seem as if anyone here knows the answers to these questions⊠I put this post up 3 days ago and so far there has been no help. Maybe someday eh? 
My current reputation with Rattay soldiers is at 52. And I think it goes up if you let the soldiers search you for stolen goods. So if you see a soldier halt you, hit the surrender buttons and chose the option that lets them freely search you. This may make the reputation of them go up. It could also may the reputation of them go down if you refuse to let them search you or try to argue with them about it.
Basically you cant do much ! Somewhere you can chat with soldiers see if it helps and if its possible. Basically dont steal, dont kill peoppe and dont fight in the region also I think helping people out is a way to go.
I dont know how to increese Rep if its at all possilble but I notice a bug at the start of quest âThe hunt beginsâ where you get Pebbles for the first time.
Once you exit the keep you are asked to be searched by a guard right away for some reason, sometimes he dissapears right afterwards making it impossible to surrender. You can carry on as usual but your rep might drop. if your make the commander wait for you your Rep might drop also. Im unshure what of these actions trigger it but I have lost 30 soldiers rep sevral times during this scenario sevral times and its so random.
Should be looked into.
Looks like its timed. I expect you lose 30 rep if you fail to report ot Bernard but in my case I lose 30 Rep with soldiers no matter what I do. looks like a bug in the game/quest.
My Rep in Rattay with the soldiers is 4. They wont even talk to me, yet some still say âOh its Henry, hi Henryâ I wave n stuff but they hate me. My rep doesnât increase a bit with them even tho the rest of the town have posters and cutouts of me in their windows and horses trot by named Henry. I dunno whats with the stuck up Guards, just coz I tried to take some swords and other left out lying around tempting shiney shit in the guard towers and I was caught sneaking they seem to think Iâm no good. Let me remind them who it was that took out all them dang bandit camps, not the pole leaners on the gates so gimme sum resthpekt gawd dang it!
Ive been extra smiley, pat them on the backs and encourage them all but alas , ima 4 in their books and Iâm thinking that they are just Farkin Jelous of my sweet Armour.
Yet again i have no idea how warhorseâs mechanic work but I was also low for days and days in-game but then I willingly got searched by a guard, - he found nothing and my soldier Rep jumped back up 35 points back to where I believe my default Rep should be given the quests Iâve done and so forth. Might be locked to a certain npc guard who you didnât notice that wanted a search? Throw away or sell all stolen items and run around town and get searched. The guard that triggered the Rep heal for me was one of the two that stand guard at the lower double extension bridge in Rattay.
so riding with horse in rattay town gives you bad reputation, maybe because the guards canât stop you to look for your items.
i guess you have to pay them with a tip (like you do with the dealer to raise reputation), when they want to look into your pockets, to increase the reputation.
just started to try that, canât tell if it works yet.
maybe someone else has a solution on how to get reputation up with guards?
Do the bandit hunting and soldiers will love you.

yeah i just saw there must be a sidequest with hunting bandits. guess the âears of a banditâ are the solution for the âguard reputationâ. but you also have a personal reputation with every single guard, you can see the smiley with the number when they want to look in your pockets. maybe you can also improve this with paying more then needed. so far it does not go down, so cant be wrong to make them rich
