so last night i sneaked into the robbers camp after dark,totally unnoticed by the enemy (stealthy me)
upon returning to the military camp i was instantly accosted & made to pay a fine for sneaking around in the dark without a torch 
lol,i don’t think i’d get very far sneaking around in the dark carrying a lit torch.
And now sir Robard won’t talk to me so i can’t report back to him & carry on the quest,
I guess he doesn’t like my sneaking around either
Same thing happened to me. It’s pretty annoying because I paid the fine, then was instantly assaulted and killed. Luckily, this was before the save button stopped working, but I still cannot advance in the quest. Hope that this gets resolved soon!
The crime system sure can be an interesting beast at the moment alright haha
Interesting is a very good word for it lol. I pay a fine then get murdered. I killed a couple of them before they got me though so it was good experience for fighting multiple opponents. Any advice on getting Sir Robard to talk to our character after scouting out the enemy camp?
Don’t load save games. The more times you do, the more chance of something going wrong. Just start again.
Start the entire game again?
Yes. It will take you 10-15 entire minutes to get to the part where Robard wants to talk to you about the camp.
at one point i was in the soldier camp and thought “let’s see how well this full plate mail works” and was fighting the camp i killed a couple of em but then this one goes “you stop right there” and i decide “sure i’ll stop, since you asked nicely” and proceeded to have a civil conversation with this guard while the rest of the camp sharpened their blades on my skull. i didn’t survive that conversation.
