In the Quest “A Rock and a Hard Place” On PC 1.6.2
When stealing the Groschen directly from the tower and giving it to Mathew and Fritz when they are above the Quarry. It seems that whomever you give the money to first will leave the quarry upon completion of the quest. The other NPC will stay there indefinitely. I tried waiting for the five days to see if the movement script would kick in, it did not. I tried to recruit them to Pribisylavitz but only the one whom I gave money to first would arrive. I tried punching fritz, he runs to town, but returns to the quarry hiding spot. I successfully recruit them both. But only Mathew will leave, if I talk to him first. Only fritz will leave if talk to him first and pay him the 1000 gold
