I botched a Bandit Camp and took off running. The single Cuman who followed me from the woods straight into Talmberg castle never once let up on me, and every guard I passed watched me go by and did nothing. I died in the kitchen. Are the guards only for show?

They are there to make sure YOU don’t break the law apparently. Seems like a missed opportunity or something that may come later…or should possibly.
