I was a bit disapointed by the lackluster fight I had with Runt… I wish he was a bit more difficult to kill… I killed him like 10 seconds after the fight started. Has anyone else owned him that quickly or are you guys experiencing some problems with this … “boss” ?
As you can see, a well placed stab right between the eyes did the work (yes I did it on purpose)

When I fought Runt I killed him very quickly too. He never got a hit on me. I focused my mace strikes on his unprotected head and managed to knock him out in two hits and then mercy kill him. It bothered me because I fought him with a mace thinking that the blunt damage would help against his plate armor. Then the cutscene plays and Henry is fighting him with a sword. The other thing that is kind of frustrating is that you have to fight him. It’s pulling a bit of a Deus Ex move where if you don’t focus your build on combat then Runt would wipe the floor with you.
I blame Captain Bernard, who spent several real-world hours beating the shit out of me until the gurgling bloody pulp that was left had reached multi digit swordsmanship skills…
I killed him with one shot in the head with my arrow,less than 10 sec i guess.

I’m using archery every time i fight with the enemy. So my sword, armor and my hands stay clean. Lol.
Grats? I mean, he literally sat there and perfect blocked everything I swung at him for about 10-15 minutes. Then finally when i just put away my weapon he stopped and I beat him to death with my bare hands. Randomness is random?
I’ve killed him pretty fast, few strikes. One strike landed from high guard slowed him down enough and another thrrust hit the head, ending him. Other hits to other parts of body did not had visible effect. Important thing to go on Runt is to be high level enough so you can land hits fast enought and do enouch damage (like into unprotected head). I basically did not need armor as he had almost no chance to hit me.

10? i one shot him with a mace to the side
In my first playthrough i put him down with two quick stabs to the face. In my second encounter i smashed his skull in one shot with a bailiffs mace. He didnt touch me either time. Dumb ass should have worn a helmet.
lol…nice job, even if it wasn’t intended. I had a longer fight and finally figured out after dying 5 or 6 times that I do better poking him. I didn’t get a head shot, but poking him with a sword was much easier than slashing him. After I started poking him, I didn’t have a problem with him.

Fought him several times and did no damage with my sword. Then on another try he attacked I did a perfect block and in doing so pierced him in the head. So I got him in less than 10 seconds. Unluckily I left after the cut scene and realized later on that there was no autosave.
So I had to fight him again and wasnt able to do any damage at all. After maybe twenty tries I switched to a hammer and killed him easily with 5 or 6 blows.
no but you can do it too, just get the ceremonial mace 5 proficiency and strength 11 or something
I remember I was using the Balif’s mace, and I perfectly parried and hit him in the head twice and he died. Took like one second.
When I play again with a tough bad ass Henry, i’ll do that 
Punch him in the face with headcracker perk. Then you don’t have to go back and loot him. Loot his weapon. Equip it. Kill him with his own sword. Justice.
I did it in about 3 seconds as the first hit used the head cracker perk and he fell down. It was humorous.
