Save files corrupted and disappeared

Hi, i already sent a ticket to the support mail, but i’ll write here as well, see if i can do something to retrieve my 10 days of play.
i play on the ps4 pro and have the latest patch, 1.2
so, i ran across a mill, close to the monastery, and “did” the quest were the guy at the mill tells me he has a cuman captive. i refused to help him and failed the quest. the game instantly crashed.
when i restarted the game it told me my savefile was corrupted and it would be deleted.

in the main menu, now, it only allows me to click on new game. now i’m in a bit of a panick, because i spent pretty much my vacation from university playing this game, and i’m afraid i just lost like 50-70 hours of play, and all my progress. do you know if anything can be done?

The same happened to me after the quest Robber Baron when my game crashed and next time i loaded it, it deleted my saved game data as it was corrrupted. Not only did it delete these files from my PS4 but also from my cloud backup too. Not found any fixes for this game ending glitch or a way to get my saves back. Messaged warhorse studios on twitter and via email but yet to recieve a response to either.

Same thing happened to me (had patches installed and what not too), but it didn’t seem quest related. I noticed my saviour schnapps stopped working and sleeping in Talmberg / Rattay / bath houses only worked ~1/4th of the time. When I tried to sleep in Talmberg to get a save in, game crashed and all saves deleted. I have PS+ so tried to download some old saves, which seemed to work as in its back on my hard drive, but yeah in the main menu it only gives me the option to start a new game. I lost ~30-40hours I bet, and I’ve sent in 5 emails but no response either (I sent them in 5 days ago).

While I’m pissed about losing all the progress, PSN is stingy with refunds (and I want to support WH even with this bs, so didn’t try and get one), so i guess peeps like you and me are stuck waiting for patches until we can restart. in my emails I asked if we could get ‘XP potions’ or something to level back up and gold or at least free DLC or something, but we’ll see what happens. I’m sorry it happened to you too, and you’re definitely not alone. It really, really sucks.

Here’s to hoping WH will acknowledge this horse shit and repay us somehow. Great game when it works, and idc about the graphics downgrade and small bugs really, but losing hours & hours of progress is the worst.

sadly the same thing happened to me. I play on the PS4 as well. Had vacation so I grinded the game for over 50 hours. Got on last night after super to play and the game kept saying “Game load failed”. I hadn’t played since their last patch the day before. So I closed out the app. Restarted my system. Then tried to continue… Game screen went black and instead of seeing the nice screen holders while it loaded…it was just a black screen. Stayed there… I had to close the game out again and reload. When I cam back on? All of my saves were deleted. Just like that.

Has anyone tried deleting the game and reinstalling to see if it then loads the old game data? Just curious if that would solve it. Its really annoying such a fantastic game with so much potential has been released 1.0 with so many bugs even though it has been beta tested for a while now, especially such a game ending bug such as the one we have encountered. Not only that but warhorse’s lack of response or acknownledgement to this bug, that is worrying.

i solved the “not saving” issue by deleting all saves, worked every time.
till this shit happened XD

Contacted WH on twitter, facebook and via email now. Hoepfully they reply and end the silence on this and provide a way to retrieve our old saves (unlikely) or just to acknowledge the bug and try to get it sorted!!

had the same bug, lost all my save and i’m not talking of all the bugs on the road there…
this game is a total mess on PS4

I recieved a response from warhorse that they are aware of this issue and it is the highest priority to be fixed. Emailed them again to see if it would be fixed in the next patch and if so when the patch will arrive

Tried that. came back to try and continue game after? Screen went black instead of the normal loading screen.
Then it just froze.
I had to close the app and try it again only this time when it loaded up? All of my saves were gone.

Was at the end… Had farmed all the treasure maps. Had enormous amounts of money . The best armor and clothing sets. Great stats…and was beyond ready to keep playing if there was a endgame after that last quest. Then that first patch happened.
RIP saves and over 50 hours of my vacation time from work gone. The other bugs i could play around and didn’t mind too much. Was to be expected. Losing all that data is a real mood killer. Have not wanted to even touch my PS4 since.

Lost 60 hours over here. Happened at the same time as OP, or atleast around it. I had just began curing a village from an illness, and on the very last house that needed the cure, I got stuck by that stupid doorway clipping bug. So I tried reloading and it was loading for about 5 minutes until it said it could not load the save. All my saves are now corrupted. I wish I didn’t buy this gamd on the PSN store like a complete moron, otherwise I could at least trade it in for another game and buy it again when it is in an acceptable state

This problem has still not been patched been stung 3 times this week losing my save file. Its making me so sad because i really love the game but detest this crap.
