I enjoy this game and have been unable to save my progress for quite some time. I have been relying on many mission save points, which have artificially chosen the pace of gameplay. Saviour schnapps did not work, sleeping did not work, the baths just stole my groshcen. Nothing worked.
I poked around in the save files to see how far I was willing to go back to check if this bug would still be present. Instead I just deleted a few old saves and tried to save again. Behold, progress. I believe this game caps on save game slots and refuses to remind you of it’s inability to generate more. My hard drive also has plenty of free space, I’m talking about the amount of allotted save files. “No free space, delete data? Yay? Nay?” Something or other should pop up.
This worked for me after losing hours of gameplay to other bugs. The baths, the beds, the schnapps, they all work now. Perhaps this can help other platforms too. Game is fun again.
