Saving Mechanics

Initially, I found the saving mechanics a fun concept. Having to come by and then chug down a bottle of schnapps with all its consequences everytime i’d like to save is very unique. Still, a couple hours into the game I have to say this mechanism doesn’t encourage venturing around exploring the map and all its secrets, but hinders me in doing so because I don’t want to redo an hour (or more) of gameplay since my last save just because I ran down a steep hill and got injured and eventually succumbed to my wounds. KCD being a true open-world RPG should encourage players to enjoy the landscape and its inhabitants in all the glory by giving them the possibility to quicksave wherever they go.
