Saving with console command

I’m sorry. I know this question was here very often, but i has no found answer for it.
When simple console command “save” will work and will save the game without game quit needing?
This is alpha, i know, and with all this crashes it;s very hard to explore something without saving. With console at least.

In previous alphas it was not possible.
I dont think that it will work now.

100% sure, it’s not working!

Little Hint about Savegames and sytem in all!

You can open the folder
Steam\Common\Kingdom Come Deliverance\USER_Game\Profiles\default
there are some quicksave files. (e.g. quicksave000.whs)
If you solved every quest up to the Cumans reward (before killing them)
You can backup the biggest quicksave file and delete the others.
(Only biggest if you solved everything in one try)
Now if you start the game only with the biggest quicksave file
You are able to fight against the cumans again.
Everytime you doing this step of backup!

I guess and i’m sure up to 99% that every quicksaveXXX.whs file,
will combined with every other created quicksave file!
Because,
Start the Game,
Play some quests,
Leave Game,
Start the Game,
play one quest,
Leave Game,
open save folder,
delete quicksave000.whs file,
Start the Game,
(Game loads now the quicksave001.whs)
Play some quests,
Leave game,
now look into save folder again,
there is a new quicksave000.whs file, instead of 002
If you now start the game,
it will not thinking that quicksave001.whs is the latest file.
OR It loads maybe ONLY the quicksave000.whs

But i’m interesting when we will can save game without quitting the game.

I start new game. Play.
Game crashes.
I start new game, because it is not savegames.

Or i play, do some quests, quit, start, continue play.
But i have not very good pc, and game loading take a long time. But i wont to loose progress, because im in interest of experiens what i can get in alpha. But i cant. Because Wipe, wipe, wipe…or…loading,loading,loading. =(

Exuse me for my bad english =) not practice enough.

Okay my pc isn’t bad in all but it takes many time too.

(Only an answer to the Thread)
To the “Spread the word outside of Forum” Thread i can say,
it is highly recommendable to integrate a Real save function.
and this will people force to play it again and again.
I think this is the best and easiest very logical way to get more gamers!

EDIT: But we won’t forget that it is an alpha version!!! :wink: :sunny:

from what I heard, save function is pretty easy.
Load function is what makes trouble.

Anyway while AI problems last there wont be any seve/load, I think.
Anyway in next upgrade (at the end of the year?) there should already be this feature.

yes and loading bugs can be a problem of wrong save entries :wink:
But yeah i believe at end of the year or in final :relaxed:

I think it is all problem of AI.

Because when you load the game all NPC are respawned at other places than when you quit the game.
So I would assume that game is not able to save at which point the NPC were in their “lives”.

Also after using “continue” the NPC start behaving strangely. Grouping themselves on streets, all looking one place.
(this actually sound pretty creepy)

Yes, and save\load (only save at least) without quitting function will work the same. But you will can play longer session and no fear to loose your progress. =) just for it.

There are several other rpg’s with same problems :blush:

But it isn’t everytime so long…
They spawn on some other places in the game,
but they walk around the world again, after some seconds
