Saviour Schnapps and Alcohol addiction

Hi guys, I’m new here and I got to say that I love the game so far, but I’m not too fond of the save system. That because I really like to save wherever I can and whenever I want. I admit I have some kind of OCD, I think, but I’m not getting into that. Let’s get to the question:

I want to have as many Saviour Schnapps as I can (by alchemy) to save more frequently (like 2 or 3 times per in-game day). I know you can get addicted if you drink too much, but the drink, for what I’ve seen, don’t get you drunk that much. Does anyone know if drinking this quantity of Saviour Schnapps per day will get my Henry turn into a Kunesh, the town drukard? =D

I really would hate get the alcoholic debuff…

Oh, I play on Ps4Pro!

Thank you all in advance, best regards from Brazil!

Hi,
I do not think that you can become alcohol addicted to the savior schnapps.
Anyway, I noticed no negative effects such as. while enjoying other spirits.
However, he is also saturated, which could affect the success hunger hook
And you get the positive buff … The one with the right perk too much support …

Thank very much for the reply! But could you please reformulate?

I think it won´t get you alcoholic. In my opinion you must get really drunk and more often then just occasional berr/wine/savior schnapps.

It is like in the Czech republic. We drink the beer almost all the time (it is true, that in restaurants, etc beer is cheaper than water - hm… I need to check this one i KC:D  ). But if you don´t drink too much, nobody here considers you as an alcoholic

Probably you’d have to drink a lot…or remain drunk for so long or some such thing. Drinking a savior schnapps once a day in game should be fine, but really you can sleep in most beds to catch a save and, if i’m not mistaken, if you buy a tavern bed for a “week” for like 250 groschen you actually have it infinitely…some message pops ups saying I have a world chest there and other things but I couldnt read it fast enough lol

Yes that’s right and the Chests are connected so you can store the things in any chest you want and can access them from any chest (only your chests)
additionally to savior schnapps and beds and autosave you can also save in bathhouses when you do the full treatment

There are plenty of save points in this game. And, the penalty for not sleeping pressures you to save more. Until WH fixes the save mechanic (corrupt saves and better capacity alerting), there are too many saves (except ironically exit save).

I know about scnhapps saving, and I always though I was able to just sleep in any bed but at some point that stopped working and only “my beds”*(the rattay mill, the rattay bed just inside the south gate and the bed in talmberg you get when you escape) and any bed in a tavern I am staying in are the only ones that will give me a save now; which I can deal with.

I was wondering why it gives you the option of 1 night or 7 if 7 nights is actually infinite…as opposed to just having the dialogue describe an open ended stay, which is what this is. Either way, for 250 you get another bed and another trunk, which is a great deal; you kill 1 rabbit and you’ve made at least that lol

7 days felt like an eternity in medieval times

you know, I’ve actually not been tired in this game since the very very beginning. I catch saves so often enough because I usually have some time to kill and rather then wait I make sure I just sleep instead. Now I have the perk where I dont get tired or hungry if I stand still, also applies to hunger when sleeping; its dope.

but there is a huge bug with these tavern beds
if you choose to stay 1 night and then before the night is finished choose to stay forever (a week) then the room will be locked and no longer accessible after the night is over although you bought it

fair enough, they are probably aware of the Cumin/Bandit threat and dont assume you will make it that long lol

Stand still? Never. Ride around day and night.

Desperately want an activity station or two (alchemy, grindstone, etc) at Miller Peshek’s. I don’t just sit for hours. To me, it’s silly use of game time. Getting the full treatment just to kill time is a waste, not to mention a way for Henry to get as diseased as a hospital ward.

like, if you’re waiting for someone you wont get hungry or tired, if you’re sleeping overnight your hunger wont suffer. Any time you stop moving to like, crouch to hide or whatever (even though that wont be long) you wont get tired or hungry. It adds up but is really nice when you’re waiting or sleeping specifically

Thank you very much for the replys guys! In towns its easier to save, really, because of all the beds, and camps, bathouses, etc…but sometimes you’re far away and there’s a lot of things (and bugs) happening, and a man gotta save his progress (and do a backup, just for sure) as often as possible. xD

Another question about the taverns came up: What happens to your stuff once your stay is over?

Keep your eye out on your map for woodcutters, herbalists in the woods, camps where bandits are spawning/have previously spawned(during bandit/cumin raid missions) and for charcoal burners…all these places have beds, and unless they patched it, you can sleep in any bed…I’m on xbox and until like a patch ago I was sure I was able to sleep anywhere. Oh well, Scnhapps is really easy and cheap to make.

You have a “world chest” next to beds in taverns and next to the bed in the Rattay Mill. Anything you store there is transferred through all current world chests…once your stay is over you just no longer have access to that chest. But just stay for 7 days for around 250g and its actually not 7 days its a bed and a chest for the rest of your play through that you’ll always have.
