Scariest thing I've seen in a while

I was pickpocketing and knocking out some people, while they were asleep. Specifically, the women in the bath-house. But as I finished robbing one of them in her bed, I realised I had the option to stealth kill her. I hadn’t seen the stealth-kill animation for a sleeping target, I thought. So, I killed her.

After that, I loaded the game, and knocked her out instead as I normally do, for that bit of stealth and unarmed XP. But as I’m wandering around the upper floor, looking for anything else to steal, I see her body on the floor instead of in the bed. Then, when I finished pick-pocketing a second girl, and looked back… I saw this:

Standing there, stretch-necked. Judging me.

I immediately knocked her over. “I didn’t kill you!” I said to the game. “I loaded the game after I killed you.”

Then, I ended up loading a different save… and there she was again (here’s a close-up):

Her body was bent, contorted to one side, opposite the shoulder I stabbed her in.

Now if only I cared enough to post this story on reddit, and spin it into a creepy pasta.

Hahaha lol. This proofs that everything that happens leaves energy, like a trail, and even a different load game can’t stop that from seeping through… she sensed that in another universe, you did something unforgivable to her, and now her virtual ghost has woken to haunt you.

Don’t be surprised if the lights start to turn on and off randomly and you hear strange sounds (the weeping of a woman maybe? A malformed, eerie sound, because of that neck she has now?)

And with you I mean you, not Henry. These things will happen in your home…
